I cannot give this hospital enough praise today. They truly saved my life yesterday. I went in with excruciating pain in my stomach and throwing up. Years ago, I had my appendix removed in Scottsdale Arizona, so that was not an issue the doctors were looking for. After some labs came back not great, my medical team decided to send me for a cat scan. Originally they were thinking something was going on with my gallbladder. My results however were extremely confusing. The radiologist was extremely professional and found something that most often gets overlooked given the fact I already had my appendix removed. Only 1 in 50,000 cases have a stump appendix left behind, so itās very rare. He determined there was a large stump of my appendix that was left behind and was infected. My medical team reached out to general surgery to see what they thought and almost immediately Dr. Dagastino was in the emergency room reading my results, talking to radiology on what his thoughts and findings were, and reaching out to the hospital that performed my appendectomy in Scottsdale trying to get an OR report to go off of. Scottsdale hospital never answered or returned his calls. The radiologist and Dr. Dagostino decided it was unsafe to wait because SOMETHING was off with my cat scan results. Dr Dagostino had me in emergency surgery within the hour. Come to find out, over half of my appendix was never removed from my procedure performed in Arizona. Had he not acted so quickly and professionally, it could have had fatal consequences. I truly believe my medical team, especially Dr Dagostino, saved my life yesterday. Iām so very thankful for them. Additionally, all my nurses that have tended to me overnight and this morning have been absolutely AMAZING. They make you feel like family and have a great bedside manner. My nurse Janine was above and beyond the call of duty and Iām so very thankful I got to have her care for me overnight after such a scary time. My morning nurses Mercedes, Grace and Allycon have been awesome too! My entire experience here the last 2 days has been wonderful (besides the pain and going through surgery part lol). Very grateful for all the staff Iāve got the pleasure of...

Ā Ā Ā Read moreI saw Terrence Fina PA in the Glens Falls ER. He seemed very pleasant and eager to help at first, but after these events I realize it was the act he puts on for his patients. He ordered a saline drip for me when it was unnecessary to do so, and had his student doctor practice on my veins! Now that I think about it, I truly believe he only ordered a saline drip so his student could use me as a pin bag to poke. The student hit a nerve in my arm, something that caused me pain for two months after this ER visit. I don't fault him for that, I think Terrence threw him into a situation he was too green to handle. However, one try wasn't enough apparently, and a nurse came in to instruct the student doctor. They said she was a head nurse, but I'm not too sure about that since SHE blew out my vein! I had a large bruise on my forearm for weeks.
After that ordeal, I was briefly examined by the student doctor (it seemed like Terrence wanted his student to do all his work for him!). I sat in my ER room waiting for the next step, when 45 minutes later the dynamic duo returns. Terrence did not give me a prescription or referral for my problem, instead he told me to use an OTC spray. He failed to mention you can only use it for 3 days. Now my sinuses are blocked and I need surgery! The ENT I am seeing now was appalled that he never warned me about the dangers of nasal spray.
Oh, I forgot to mention - because Terrence Fina did absolutely nothing to help my problems (besides giving me a drug store shopping list) I had to return to the ER that same night, several hours later.
So, if you're ever in the ER at Glens Falls, make sure you do not get assigned Terrence Fina. Terrence - if you are reading this, you should be ashamed of yourself and the way you treat your patients! (P.S. Student doctor: You were nice and did nothing wrong. Don't grow up to be a bad PA like...
