Attention fraud!!! Citi bank uses high interest rate to deceive new customers. I got enrolled in new Citi Savings account on 03/28/2025 in this branch. Q1 2025 promotional interest rate offer for new Citi Savings Accounts is 4.35%. On 4/1/2025, the first interest payment for 4 days was credited to my account. However, the interest payment only reflected an interest rate of 1.0875%. I called in and requested the manager to help me resolve this problem. On 4/7/2025, an adjustment is credited to my account. However, the total interest payment for the 4 days even including the adjustment only reflects an interest rate of 3.262%. Citi bank promotes interest rate offer for new Citi Savings account as 4.35% (APY 4.45%). Read moreI had an issue with my account, talked to the teller who seems to know nothing and just asked me to call customer service. I requested to talk to someone who is familiar with CD accounts, then his manager came out and gave me nonsense explanations. I tripled checked with them and asking whether the delayed interest posting is due to a setting error, they firmly said no, didn’t even bother to closely check my account, and kept asking me just to be patient and wait. I’ve been having various CD accounts with Citi for years and I know when they post interest. The manager/supervisor’s explanation just doesn’t make any sense. Read moreVery poor customer service / relations. We needed help and no one greeted us. They were very rude and seemed put off with my client and I. I understand that the bank deals with many Asian americans and we were not Asian but I feel that all should be treated with respect. Very disappointed with the manager also and her assistant because I felt that she could of helped us. They were standing around and I went to her and asked if she could help us and she sat us at a desk with another rep that was upset we were sitting there because she was not done with the other customer. Just very poor service!!! My client is bringing in a big chuck of funds and now we are thinking maybe it would be better to use another bank that will actually treat their customers...
