I can not say enough about the tremendous experience i just had at the Verizon Zone store in Rye, NY. Our entire family have been iPhone users since it's introduction and have always just upgraded to the newest iPhone. I have wanted to switch to a different phone for a while but was told by many that my texts would not transfer which was important to me. But when the galaxy 9s+ came out I really wanted it so I approached Joey Brillante who, as it turns out, is "brillant". He was great with my kids who all went in at different times to order the 8+. All of them had different balances owed on their current phones and every phone was in a different condition: a tricky transaction to say the least without breaking the bank. He said to come back the next day because he wanted to give it some thought. I believed he went above and beyond then but it was not even close. I was really ready to make the switch to the galaxy so I approached Joey to see if there was any way to get my texts to transfer and instead of hearing "texts won't transfer" as I'd heard in the past, he said "absolutely I can get them transferred." And although it was not as simple as that, he would not be denied and would find another way. He spent hours trying different apps and when they didn't work he started over. After staying way past their 8:00 closing time on a Friday night, he found the answer. Knowing it was going to be at least another hour for the transfer, he said he would gladly stay and finish but didnt want me to have to wait. He finished the transfer overnight and it was ready for pick-up the next morning when he opened the store at 8:45. I'm pretty sure I can count on one hand how many people I've encountered in any business that would have done what Joey did for me. Just to add icing to this cake, he spent over an hour going over the features with me that day and would have continued as long as I had questions. Go see him and I guarantee you'll walk away happy. That is the best Verizon store; I'd never go anywhere else....
Read moreKevin lied to me about my bill amount. With my trade in I was told my new bill would be $20 less than what it is right now. Plus my insurance went up by to $40 a month for 2 phones instead of the $12 and he specifically told me my insurance was the same. I was totally ripped off. They scammed me. I am leaving Verizon. I am so upset with myself for not listening to all the horrible reviews of this place on yelp. Stay away!
UPDATE: I am currently on the phone with Verizon. Apparently, Kevin sold me the wrong phone. He told me I could trade in my son's phone for an even trade. He sold me a 200-something GB not the 100-something and it is NOT an even trade, it's more than $100 more. My bill is quoted at $177 in the store. It is currently $300. They also upgraded my insurance from $12 per from to $19.99 per phone. That's an additional $40 a month. They completely screwed me. I can not afford my new bill. My old phones are in their possession and I need to find a way to return these for my old phones so I can afford to pay the bill that they LIED ABOUT!!!!! I got not receipts for the phones, no agreement, no contract, nothing. Now I am realizing that I am totally lost on how I am supposed to afford this AND IT...

I was sold on a promotion which included a phone and a watch and the Verizon had to ship them to the store. The phone and the watch were shipped separately and arrived on different dates. I picked up the phone first and it was at this time that I was informed that the promotion for the watch had a mandatory service of 10$ a month for 36 months with the it. Since the service for the watch was not necessary or wanted I canceled the watch. But, since the watch had not arrived to the store, and they were ordered together, the Verizon store was unable to release the phone. Even though the phone was present and working at the store they were unable to give it to me. The experience with Verizon and more specifically this store has been terrible at best.
