I was interested in framing one of my Hermes scarfs and after researching the best way to showcase the silk scarf, I was told by multiple framers, it should be sewed to the mat within the frame. This made me extremely nervous as I didn’t want the scarf harmed in any way, but after speaking with Kettlewell & Edward’s, I decided to go with them, and I’m so glad I did.
They took their time showing me different combinations of mats and frames because the scarf had so many colors in it. I had no problem waiting 2 months for the finished product and it came out better than I could have thought. A lot of Hermes scarfs show bunching or wrinkles once stitched because it’s difficult to get it squarely perfect, but mine came out just right.
