Saratoga Tea & Honey Company — Restaurant in City of Saratoga Springs

How does one convey how much they love a place like Saratoga Tea & Honey? Because this place is my favorite shop to visit whenever in Saratoga or passing through. Whether it’s hot or cold outside, they have a drink to match your preferences. I’ve shopped here during the pandemic and as mandates are lifting. They have a large selection of traditional loose and packed teas, with accessories galore. Everytime I go in, my wallet begs me not to buy anything because one could lose a lot of money here if they let loose. Their one tea, Saratoga Sunrise is delicious, iced or hot. I love this store because they are independently, females owned, and partner with other local businesses. If you’re wondering to visit or not, stop. Just go in, and have fun even window shopping and smelling all the different aromas they have to offer.

First visited the shop this July. Got the Columbia County Wildflower honey which I like more than the honeys I buy at NYC greenmarkets from other Hudson Valley farms. I'm drawn to the Oolong style black teas, and when I purchased the Feng Huang Hong Cha, the woman at checkout put her hand to her heart to tell me how special this tea was. I was looking forward to going back to this shop since July until my return in September. This time I picked up the Yunnan Da Ye, described as the "goldilocks" of black teas. It is amazingly sweet and floral even without honey. I checked out just before they closed and before I had to return home to NYC. I paid with apple pay, and only realized an hour into my drive that my phone was no longer in my purse. Emailed them to let them know I would be back in 2 weeks but if they could mail my phone to me now, I would pay for shipping. Y,all! They are shipping it to me overnight and refused to take my money when my husband called on my behalf. I'm going to be FOREVER LOYAL...

We stopped by Saratoga Tea & Honey when we were in Saratoga Springs last month. Our experience in the cafe was amazing, we had delicious drinks and a great chat with the barista who made our drinks, and we LOVED sampling the different delicious honey flavors. Unfortunately we were near the end of our trip and we were worried about our suitcases being overweight to fly home.

Fast forward a month and I placed an order for lots of tea, honey and a honey pump. The order came in less than a week and we’re SO happy to have delicious tea at home to enjoy! The online ordering process was really easy and the detailed flavor notes/benefits of each tea were really helpful when deciding what to have sent to us. Also, if you like honey in your tea and don’t have a honey pump, you’re doing honey all wrong. Genius.
