Chic Boutique NY — Attraction in City of White Plains

The invisible shopper- I walked into Chic Boutique in Westchester with high hopes of finding a dress for a wedding in Florida. I understand that I am not a large person only standing 5’ 2”, however I usually am seen and recognized as a potential customer and possibly a sale. This day was different; I did not know at the time that I had changed into a transparent and invisible person as I walked into the Chic Boutique in Westchester. I floated through the store. (being invisible I must have been “floating” so no one could hear footsteps) I drifted through many of the gowns and dresses hoping someone would see me, but unbeknown to me I had become invisible and transparent when I had walked into the store. After 5 or so minutes of looking, I started to leave and noticed TWO people at the counter on their cell phones and as I was exiting, they never looked up or acknowledged my visiting Chic Boutique. It was then that I realized I had become transparent but then as I left the store, I was greeted by my husband who was waiting for me. It was only then that I realized that I was only transparent in CHIC BOUTIQUE. Still looking for a new dress, however I am now ordering on line and trying them on at home. Purchased a special occassion dress for my mom, which was really nice, however required some alterations. Well, That's when the problems began. We had to make numerous trips to the shop in an attempt to get dress altered to our liking, but no luck! ( Keep in mind we reside no where near the shop) We had already paid for alterations up front so there was little we could do. The salesperson kept assuring myself and my mom that there was a bulge in the back of dress due to her hips! Well, Didn't we pay for your seamstress to address any such issues? After four trips to the store with no resolution we decided to just take the dress and consult my creditor about how I was not being pleased with the service. Once I put in a dispute the staff at the store responded with a outright lie! They made it seem as I though I repeatedly returned to the store requesting different alterations and they obliged me, though it was the same alteration! They made it seem as though they helped as much as possible when they never did the right thing and offered a credit, or portion of money back for alterations.
