I was seen back in January for a worker's compensation incident. The doctor was very professional and really helped me get comfort that I was unable to get from the ER the two times I went. That being said the front desk staff are the worst. The date of my visit I had to explain 5 times that I work for Banfield Pet Hospital and they continued to insist I work for Petsmart. Both I and my manager had to explain to the front desk staff that Banfield and PetSmart are not the same company and that they were filing the claim wrong to which they insisted that they were doing it right and PetSmart was who they needed to file it under. My claim officer finally contacted them and had it switched since they refused to listen to me and my manager. Months go by and I don't hear anything from FastMed and I get a collections notice in the mail for my visit in January. I call their billing department and they tell me there are forms for me to sign that were never provided to me. They explain I need to go in and fill out these forms and the bill will be taken care of. I go back to this location yesterday and explain the situation and the front desk staff get an attitude with me and state that they filed the claim and it was declined by my workplace. When I explained I had talked to my claims officer and they didn't receive anything from FastMed she rolled her eyes and stated that the form I did not sign was not something they had in January and was unsure why they didn't file the claim and the billing department was lazy. I asked to fill out the form anyway since that was what the billing department said I needed to do anyway and she gave me a hard time before allowing me to fill out the form, all the while bad mouthing the billing department. I then explained to her that the billing department wants the form emailed to them and tried to provide her the email and she declined to take it saying she would fax it over. I called the billing department following my encounter and the woman I spoke to was fearful they would not correctly receive the form since they only email and so she connected me to their customer service line. I left a voicemail with them but have not gotten a response. Only reason I gave this clinic 1 star is because the care I got from the doctor was great but the nurse was rude and the front desk...

She assured me that 1) the front desk associate was being terminated as she has a slew of complaints against her 2) I would not be billed. Guess who got a bill today? ME! They billed my insurance $329 medical services. I called my insurance company to report the fraud and am still waiting to hear back from Candace.
11/22 - I should have read the reviews. But I wasn't feeling good and am new to the area. I write this to save you the trouble and humiliation I went through.
Oh, where do I start? At check in, Tanya was the person to greet me. She was incredibly rude and loud. After reviewing my in-take form. She told me my insurance wasn't going to cover a a certain test without symptoms. I kindly asked her to check my intake form, where I wrote I had symptoms. She proceeded to tell me again, “if you get a bill, it’s because your insurance doesn’t cover this without symptoms”. Was she even listening? Nope. So, after this rash encounter with her, the entire lobby now knew my business. Thanks Tanya - you need a job that doesn't involve working with people. And please review HIPAA when you get a free moment. Tanya made sure to reassure me one last time that my insurance wasn't going to cover my test without symptoms, in a loud, demeaning voice.
Then, the back office forgot me in the exam room after I saw the medical assistant. I was waiting forever (55 mins) to get "discharged" by the doctor. They were closing up the building and locked the doors, lights were being turned off. So, I finally peeked my head out of the room and the 2 staff members that remained, looked surprised. The doctor admitted that he didn't know I was in there. He said "The computer skipped over Room 1, give me two minutes". He apologized, but does that make it better? He didn't even come around the corner to speak to me, he just shouted from over the counter.
I feel so terrible. I dont even know what say. Just dont go there. Go...

I had to sign a form at the front desk authorizing work and payment. There was a second spot for a signature at the bottom of the form that said I authorize FastMed to automatically deduct up to $200 from my account and a place to put my email address. I didn't want them automatically deducting money from my account so I didn't sign it.
The woman called me up and said I had to sign it and put a card on file for payment. I said I didn't want them to deduct money from my account automatically which is why I didn't sign it. Then she said that the last time my wife was there she authorized it by signing it so I have to give a card. I told them that now I'm changing that decision and I'm unauthorizing it. They said I HAVE to put a card on file or they won't see me. Specifically I was bringing my two kids to see the doctor who had the flu with 103 fever.
She explained that an urgent care visit is $200. I have insurance and based on my insurance I pay 20%. I asked why I couldn't just pay the $40 now. She said $40 for what??
I said, "you just told me that an urgent care visit is $200. My insurance says that I pay 20% which is $40." She said, "I don't know that and I can't figure that out because I'm not billing."
I said sure you can, 20% of $200 is $40. That made no sense to me. If my co-pay said $20 they would have accepted the $20. Why is it any different if it says 20% of a $200 visit?? And the girl kept telling me, "I don't know anything about billing. This is just what we do". TRAIN YOUR EMPLOYEES!!!
Also, I think they have a strong arm policy in place that they don't understand. They are forcing me to put a card on file or they won't accept my visit. Why can't you just bill me like every other doctor I've ever been too. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. I'll...
