My family and I decided to try out this new restaurant that had caught our attention with its beautiful decor and some buzz on social media. We went in for an early Father’s Day dinner, hoping for a great experience.
First impressions: the space is visually appealing, but the lighting felt a bit too dim for our taste, and the music—exclusively reggaeton—didn’t quite match the theme. Since it’s a Mexican restaurant, incorporating traditional Mexican music like mariachi might help enhance the overall atmosphere.
Drinks and appetizers arrived quickly, which we appreciated, but the main dishes took a considerable amount of time. Even after the food finally came out, several plates were missing, which disrupted the flow of the meal.
One of the biggest letdowns was the carne asada plate. It was advertised as ribeye, but what was actually served appeared to be a beef chuck steak (“diezmillo”). As a family that regularly grills ribeye and New York strip, we could definitely tell the difference.
Another issue was the air conditioning—not working during our visit. Combined with leather seating, it made for an uncomfortably warm and sweaty experience.
In the end, from our party of 10, the general consensus was that we wouldn’t return. While the restaurant shows promise in some areas, we feel there are better options nearby that offer more consistent quality, better value, and a more comfortable...
Read moreHands down one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in the past 30 years! I came here for a birthday dinner, and not only was the food amazing, but the birthday celebration was on a whole other level. They don’t just sing you a quick song—they do a full-on concert with lights, music, and serious energy. The plate they bring out for birthdays is absolutely beautiful—you can tell they put real thought into making people feel celebrated. I truly felt special.
Now let’s talk food: the fish tacos were PHENOMENAL. So fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. Honestly one of the best I’ve had anywhere.
If I had to offer one tiny critique, it would be the street corn. It wasn’t bad at all—it just didn’t have that authentic street corn taste I’m used to. Something about it was a little different. But that’s the only thing I’d even think to point out, and it didn’t take away from the overall experience at all.
From start to finish, this place went above and beyond my expectations. Highly recommend for a great meal—and if it’s your birthday, you’re in for a...
Read moreThis restaurant has only been open for six months. It's a colorful and welcoming place. The chips (warm tostada?) are tasty as is the salsa and not spicy hot. I enjoyed my chicken flauta salad. It comes in tomatillo sauce which is mildly picante (spicy). If you don't care for it ask them to hold it or put it on the side. My Jamaica (hibiscus drink) was palatable but too sweet so I mixed it with water. There are free refills on the jamaica but they wouldn't let me share the drink with my dining companion.
I could see my waiter looking at his cell phone. I prefer that wait staff be looking at the customers to see what is needed or if the table needs any part cleared. I hope management addresses this with the wait staff.
There are six televisions on but the sound is off. I feel it takes away from my dining experience by distracting me. It may be good for others.
Also there are disco/ lights swirling on the walls. This might be great for a dance crowd on Friday and Saturday nights. For me, it's a distraction.
I will...
