Clive Nails — Attraction in Clive

Went in to get my toes and nails done for prom at about 3pm they closed at 5 , thought it would be relaxing I’ve never gotten my toes done here.also needed to get my nails filled I told them, I sat down and then somone started working on my nails as the same time as my toes not relaxing at all, never got handed a little booklet to pick out what pedicure I wanted, as I’m getting my nails done I reminded her that it was a fill and she said it was too late because she already started cutting my nails then when she got the nails off I told her I wanted acrylic and the lady told me she did not have time to do acrylic , finally my toes get done there supper uneven one line is thicker than the other but at this point it just want to leave, walked out with my toes done and no nails at all around 4pm all around was an unpleasant experience and I will not be back. This makes me sad because when I usually come to this nail salon I have a very nice man who always does amazing work.at the end I told them I was very unhappy and they said they would take $20 off....

I have been going to Jody for 8+ years. She has always gone above and beyond for her customers. My mom and I joke all the time that she needs to travel the 2 hours to come to Jody because she always loves my nails and can't find a place she likes where she lives. Jody truly cares for her customers. She spoils us (especially my daughter who had her first nail day with mama yesterday). She was so patient and kind with her. I genuinely believe she's the best nail tech in the Des Moines area. We love her! The whole staff was very supportive and understanding when my daughter wanted to play instead of waiting for mama to be done. They did their best to entertain her and keep her interested. Greatly appreciate that and it's not the kind of service you'd get at very many places. But it's consistently the kind of care I've received while going to Jody. One of the techs once sat and held her for my entire appointment when she was about a year old to keep her entertained and content....

Awful! I had a simple shellac French manicure and pedi done by Tracy, within two days it turned a burnt yellow brown on the tip, of course they said I must have done something but offered to redo it but I chose to just do a neutral color no shellac the second time done by Amy a co-manager, first of all it took almost an hour because she was doing a pedicure at the same time while I was sitting under a heat lamp for 20 min to melt the shellac. She was so rough buffing my nails skin was removed on several fingers in which I still have scabs over a week later also there is white nail polish from the French tips on several fingers because she rushed me through and wasn't thorough. I paid $68 for the whole mess no refund for the shellac that lasted two days just terrible service all around and wounds on top of it...
