First off this is the omly good thrift store in Walla Walla. If you look and dig you can find gems. The store is usually clean the staff is usually nice, meaning just the cashiers. For the third time now I have had the manager follow me without trying to make it obvious I've already had an incident with her I think I look pretty good lol. The first incident I had with her there was a big old giant chunk of gum stuck to a backpack that was a name brand backpack. I asked if I could get a discounted since I knew I could get it out but it would take me some time some effort and possibly a little bit of money. She did not give me a discount therefore I did not buy the bag I immediately left the store feeling belittled. And three times now she has quote on quote followed me acting like she was working because I usually stop in after I shop at Safeway. I do not have a car I do everything on foot I use reusable bags I also offered to leave my bags at the front but the cashiers tell me that if anything were to happen, they're liable. So therefore I get treated like a thief. I go into this store on a weekly basis sometimes four times a week because I have a toddler, and my son is a growing little weed so I try to shop accordingly. I'd give two stars but I'm...
Read moreThe epitome of corporate greed. Do you want to know why they are pricing things so high? Because each employee is given a daily goal of $2000 worth of merchandise that they are required to price. If they don't reach this goal they face corrective actions such as write-ups and even up to termination. So items are being priced higher in an attempt to avoid corrective actions. Anything that does not sell at Goodwill is destroyed, even if it is brand new and in the package. They don't discount it further after it's een on the color tag sale, they would rather destroy it than donate it. There are so many amazing programs around here that they could donate things to. For example there is Hope Heals which is a program that helps people with the basic necessities when they get into a new place and are trying to get on their feet, Nana's closet that helps families get the items they need for after they've had a baby and even items and clothing for older children too sometimes. There are so many different ways to handle items that are not able to sell here and yet if they can't make a quick buck they just toss it. Just like...
Read moreHorrible. Will never come back. Found same men's clothes on display every time I went, nothing new. They were more expensive than in Walla Walla and had limited amount of items per size (men's pants). Women's pants are mixed in with men's, which is very frustrating. I don't think they care to separate them.
The place is out of the way, in College Place, a place most people from Walla Walla, the bigger city, will never go to. GW needs to get back to Walla Walla so more donors from there can donate to the store. I seriously doubt most donors from Walla Walla will spend gas to bring donations to this place.
I really don't know what GW was thinking when they moved to College Place, the axx of the world. I know they needed a bigger parking lot, but now they don't have much selection of clothes. I went 3 times and I couldn't find the type of quality brand clothes I used to find at their store in Walla Walla. They have nothing but ugly, low quality men's clothes in my opinion. Please GET BACK TO WALLA WALLA! And yes, I'm from...
