Went here for speech therapy and will never go to UC Health for any medical service again. Their deceitful billing practices are exactly what causes healthcare prices in this country to sky rocket. I went for an evaluation, was told at the desk that I could pay $218 cash to them for the service because my health insurance wouldn't cover it until my deductible was met (which I was aware of), or they could just bill my insurance. I chose to have them bill my insurance so I would be closer to meeting my deductible for future visits. However, when I got my bill from my insurance company, they billed my insurance $771 FOR A SERVICE THEY WOULD HAVE TAKEN $218 FOR!! They also did not tell me that they would be billing my insurance anymore than what they were going to accept from me at the desk and led me to believe it would be the same price either way. So because I pay for health insurance, I'm responsible for my monthly premium and over 3.5 times what I could have just paid at the desk. I called to find out why this happened and dispute the additional money, and was told simply that yes, they bill insurance far more than what they would accept from the customer and my dispute was essentially answered with "tough luck, we'd like our money now." These people are thieves and this is the perfect example of why health care costs so much. NEVER GO HERE IF YOU CAN AVOID IT!
In response to the owner's comment: The information on the website is irrelevant when I'm at the desk checking in for my very first service, which is when i was presented with this billing issue. In order to effectively use your suggestion, I would have needed prior knowledge of your deceitful billing practices in order to know that I needed to research how you bill 3 1/2 times more to insurance than you would otherwise accept, known that I was being misled by the person at the front desk with the information being withheld, and been late to my service so that I would have time to research all of this for myself instead of being blind sided by this bill. This all happened as I was checking in to my service, not a week beforehand, literally right then and there, so your suggestion is nothing more than a CYA for yourself after the fact. If you were truly "sorry for any inconvenience [I] may have experienced," you could have simply taken care of it when I gave you a chance to review the situation. I was completely reasonable in my inquiry into the matter, asking only that you honor what I was offered initially, and you reviewed it and told me to go kick rocks. You're not sorry for anything other than this poor review when all you had to do was offer to cover the difference in money and you STILL would have made more than if I had paid you out of pocket from the start! This is a complete joke and...
Read moreI recently had the distinct pleasure of visiting Dr. Farrukh Javaid’s office, and I must say, the experience was nothing short of extraordinary. From the very moment I entered the clinic, I was enveloped in an atmosphere that exuded both professionalism and genuine care, creating a sanctuary of wellness that set the tone for what would be a flawless encounter with modern medicine.
The staff, an embodiment of efficiency and warmth, welcomed me with such grace that I instantly felt at ease. Their seamless orchestration of administrative details made the typically tedious process of check-in feel almost effortless. Every interaction was punctuated with kindness, attentiveness, and the unmistakable feeling that my well-being was truly their highest priority.
Dr. Javaid himself is a paragon of medical excellence, blending a profound depth of knowledge with an innate ability to connect with his patients. His demeanor was at once calming and authoritative, creating an immediate sense of trust and comfort. With an impressive balance of precision and empathy, he took the time to listen intently, demonstrating a rare, genuine interest in understanding the nuances of my health concerns. His diagnoses were clear, insightful, and thoroughly explained, ensuring I left with not just answers, but a deeper understanding of my own health.
What truly sets this experience apart is the profound attention to detail. Every aspect of the visit—from the impeccably clean, thoughtfully designed spaces to the punctuality with which I was seen—reflected a practice that operates at the highest echelon of care. I was never left waiting, wondering, or feeling like just another name on a chart. Instead, I was treated as a valued individual, a member of their community whose health and happiness mattered.
In a world where healthcare can often feel impersonal and rushed, this appointment was a refreshing reminder that excellence still thrives. Dr. Javaid and his team have redefined my expectations for what healthcare should be—an experience marked not only by clinical expertise but also by a profound sense of humanity.
I left the office not only feeling physically rejuvenated but also profoundly grateful. Grateful for the care, the attention, and for the reassurance that I am in the best possible hands.
This practice sets the standard, and I cannot recommend it...
Read moreEDIT: we spoke to multiple people a UC Health and you were terrible to us. Don’t try to make a nice reply for the sake of a public review. But i’ll go ahead and call again so i can let folks know how you continue to treat us.
If there were zero stars, we’d give it. They charge hospital rates (over $600 charged PER HOUR of physical therapy). They did not disclose this until after many sessions and we received a bill for $2300! Upon contesting it, the staff and managers were generally rude and unwilling to rectify and insane overcharging. More below on their refusal of care initially and referring us to this place so they could fleece us.
Went in due to back issues from a prior disc injury. It was obviously a problem with the disc and immediately asked for an MRI. Doctor REFUSED CARE, said “you are not a candidate for surgery”, requiring 6 weeks of PT first and directing us to this place. Took weeks to get an initial appointment, during which there was lots of suffering. After all the PT, received the ENORMOUS bill, but were able to finally get the MRI, which showed a burst disc and now suddenly surgery is the path forward. All the time the injury got worse.
You should all be ashamed of yourselves. Incompetent care and preying on the un-well for profit. You want to make it better? Let me know how you want to get the bill adjusted.
We have terminated all care with UC Health and just doing what we can to get the word out so they...
