Hello, I sent a note on 11/17 based on my wife’s recent visit of 11/17 to the stores attention. She ordered eclairs and pies. We have both had a desire for their eclairs recently but the drive is 15 miles away. When my wife returned home, the eclairs were packed UPSIDE down chocolate facing the bottom of the box. The Bakery Manager, responded the next day and left me a voicemail lecturing me on how “her girls” did not pack the eclairs upside down. First, I did not appreciate her poor customer skill sets and the tone of her voicemail. Second, I have been in retail supermarket industry over 45 years and have been responsible for over many bakery operations. I believe I know when something was packed incorrectly. I certainly know when “her girls” pack something upside down. She really had some nerve blaming the checkout associates for doing it. If in fact they did do it, the eclairs would have been stuck to the lid, which is not what I witnessed. My wife also said the sales associate was not the most pleasant individual. Perhaps the Bakery Mgr can train her staff. We made the mistake of asking if the eclairs were fresh. I guess you are not supposed to question the freshness or quality. This woman needs a class on customer service and etiquette. I did not plan to blow this up but the managers attitude left me no choice. Certainly not worth losing a customer over. I am publishing this only because I brought the issue to the attention of the store manager, to date no response over a week later. Apparently, they do not believe in customer service. PS: while I’m at it, the blueberry pie is filled with slurry and had a rubbery texture. Thanks for...

Delicious Orchards in Colts Neck, NJ is a must-visit for anyone looking for fresh, local produce, delicious baked goods, and friendly service. The store is located on Route 34 and has been family-owned and operated for over 50 years.

Delicious Orchards is known for its wide selection of store-made pies. There are over 30 different varieties to choose from, including apple, blueberry, peach, pumpkin, and pecan. The pies are all made with fresh, seasonal ingredients and are baked to perfection.

Another must-try at Delicious Orchards is the apple cider. The cider is made from fresh-pressed apples on the farm and is available in both sweet and tart varieties. It's the perfect way to enjoy the flavors of autumn.

And of course, no visit to Delicious Orchards would be complete without trying the apple cider donuts. These donuts are made fresh daily and are perfectly soft and fluffy on the inside, with a crispy exterior. They're the perfect way to satisfy your sweet tooth.

In addition to pies, cider, and donuts, Delicious Orchards also sells a variety of other baked goods, produce, meats, cheeses, and prepared foods. There's something for everyone at Delicious Orchards, so be sure to stop by and see for yourself!

Here are some additional details about Delicious Orchards:

The store is open year-round, but the busiest time is during the fall when people come to pick apples and enjoy the fall foliage.

There is a large parking lot and plenty of space to walk around.

The staff is friendly and helpful.

Overall, Delicious Orchards is a great place to go for fresh, local produce, delicious baked goods, and friendly service. I highly...

We ordered soup, french fries and chicken fingers to eat outside, before shopping. This place "Used" to be good in service, quality and price in the past few years. This time it was so "Disorganized" for the staff taking the order that the shopper before us was not given a receipt or ticket number to pick up the order and it took more than 15 minutes to process and complete his order, while we're waiting a line of one person. I placed my order: 1 french fries, 1 large soup, and 2 chicken fingers. Again, the cashier was very slow in completing the order and , also i was not given a receipt or ticket order . We moved to the pick up window and 20 minutes later, with no food coming, i decided to cancel the order. The cashier had such hard time figuring out what to do to void the transaction that he called for help. The helper was the cook, who stopped cooking, holding up other people on line, and without being able to cancel my order. Finally, 10 minutes later, the cashier apologized, and resolved the issue, and refund me, after spending almost 45 minutes in total. We left that place that "used" to be so good, and i don't think we'll ever go back. "Very Disappointed" at this all thing. The staff was very confused and apologetic, but that did not solve the single problem of ordering food. "Shame on the owners of Delicious Orchards and their staff"! -Do Not Order Food There! Unless you are prepared to spend a good 1/2 hour before being served, even if there is no big waiting line. This place is not equipped to properly handle serving fast food. Don't...

After reading the reviews here, I'm a little disappointed that I didn't buy and try the donuts and/or apple cider. Also, while I write this, we're in COVID times, along with the Russia attacking Ukraine situation, which I believe has further inflated the cost of goods due to the rising cost of fuel. Case in point, I brought ~9 items from this location and I paid a whopping ~$65, which is a little crazy. I get that New Jersey is the garden state and we're big on fresh goods and locations like these -- but, really? A small, two-pack of frozen tamales cost ~$9 -- you can buy several dozen online for ~$2-3 each. The layout of this store is a little weird, but it is spacious and the lighting to see items is solid. The select is pretty awesome (did I say I found Mexican style tamales?) A friend was pretty excited by their meat and cheese selection -- both of which looked fantastic and glorious. I'll note that much like many other 'farmer markets' in New Jersey, this place is big on Tillen Farms/Stonewall Kitchen items -- almost a good quarter of their inventory is from this supplier. I admit it is hard to discern what is a good price or not with the various items. In some ways, I feel like I'm shopping at a Whole Foods in disguise. Given the context of when this was written, I hope their prices relax soon. All and all, I'll be back. I feel like I may have missed some goods due to being rushed by my peers. Neat place :0)

My review is a tough one to write. My wife and I have had many fond experiences at Delicious Orchards over the years, and my wife, who grew up in the area truly feels connected to this place from her youth. Our experience today had some strong points and some changes that have us missing the old days of Delicious Orchard. Going to the Orchard is always an experience and something we enjoy with our kids. The pumpkins, haystack and tractors outside was really fun and festive. We particularly enjoy their baked goods section with many fresh and delicious options. Today, we really struggled with how crowded the place was- we could barely move our cart. The produce tends to be more expensive, but good quality. What we love about the orchard is all the specialty produce that they have that can't be found in your average supermarket. Outside, there is a whole seating area and we ordered delicious apple cider slushies with ice cream and we were able to sit outside with live music. I will say, while we did enjoy our experience today, as time has passed we do feel the place has become more commercialized- we miss the things that made the Orchard feel like home; the samples, the bee honeycombs, being able to have small talk with employees etc. It's still a wonderful place, but we'll always be reminiscent of the Orchard of old. Review from notes of 10/16/2022 visit.
