We drove 2.5 hours to visit Breeze for the perfect prom dress for my daughter's Junior prom. She has been following them on Instagram and had dresses already in mind she wanted to try. When we arrived the lady at the front seemed a little overwhelmed. We stood there for about 5 minutes before we were instructed on what to do. We had an appointment so that did make things smoother. As soon as we started browsing for dresses, my daughter quickly realized she didn't see any of the dresses she wanted to try on (that were recently advertised on their IG). Soon we heard her name called. The young lady who helped us was very nice and helpful. She asked if she had any pictures or ideas of the dresses she wanted to try. My daughter pulled out her phone and showed her the 5 dresses she wanted to try. 'That one is out of stock, we may have that one but probably not in your size, we have a similar one to that, out of stock'. NONE of the dresses she wanted were in stock, or not avaliable in her size. I could tell my daughters excitement was slipping away.
We browsed and found 3 dresses she wanted to try, but none of them were the ones she wanted (or even similar to what she invisioned). Her size must be very popular (4) because we could only find a few select dresses in her size. The girl that was helping us brought my daughter a dress to try after trying on about four or five others that didn't fit right (way too big or way too small). This dress was her size and fit her perfectly. It was a very beautiful dress that she ended up picking to be the one. I feel like she settled for this particular dress because it was the only one that fit her correctly because the size she wears was pretty much obsolete in the entire store. With it being still pretty early in prom dress season, I didn't imagine the place would be so picked over! Even though she found a dress that was beautiful, I could tell she still felt down about the entire situation. She tried on maybe 8 dresses and only ONE fit her right, and it was the one she ended up picking.
When we went to check out we had mentioned to the cashier that there were some loose strings on the dress and asked if she could cut them off. She did, but with what came off as a grouchy attitude. She kept telling us she got them all but clearly you could see more. Eventually I said forget it we will just do it at home. When I paid she never even told me a total, just told me to insert my card. I get that they see alot of people in and out of their store, especially on a Saturday but you should try not come off as rude and annoyed.
My daughter will have one more prom before graduating and I do not think we will be returning to Breeze. Apparently you need to start prom dress shopping in December or January if you want to get the dress you desire in your size! If you are planning on going, expect to have a hard time finding common sizes (4-8), they are pretty picked over.
Something to know - the person's name who is on the debit or credit card must be present for the purchase. This was not an issue for us but I seen a few people leave empty handed because of this policy. I couldn't imagine driving a good distance to only be made aware of this when your...
Read moreThe worst experience for prom dress shopping ever!!!! We made an appointment for my daughter and her friend, telling her budget and also her friends budget. We looked online prior to our appointment and saw several dresses the girls were interested within their budget that they wanted to try. We arrived early for their appointment, as they suggested. We were told how the dresses were arranged and sorted by size and color and then we were told the girls could pull their own dresses and stand in a line for a fitting room. Much to our surprise we filtered through hundreds of dresses and found not one in her budget we were approached twice by three times by 3 different staff members to see if we needed help finding sizes and when I try to explain we were finding sizes ok we just weren’t finding anything in our budget they just walked away without even asking what our budget was one girl explained the the dresses were not arranged by price and I already knew that. Finally I told the last staff that ask us that we I had been filtering through dresses for like 30 minute and hadn’t found one dress in my daughters budget and she said she would ask her manager to look up what dresses they had in stock on the computer, the manger came over shortly and told us that it says that they may not carry some of the dresses in the store that they carry online and unfortunately they could not help us find any dresses within their budget so after finding this out, just pulled dresses that were as close to our $250 budget as we could get, so they tried them on and helped each other in tithe dresses in the fitting room because not one off the staff helped them in the fitting rooms with the dresses and not one even asked if they needed help after that we were on our own, which is really unusual and aggravating I thought since we had an appointment. My daughter did find a dress that she kind of liked but really wasn’t sure she wanted to settle on a dress that she only kinda liked but really that was $100 more than her budget. So I said well I can ask if they could hold that dress for 2 hours until we could think about it, and guess what they again disappointed us with their customer service by telling us us they would not do that for us . Breeze is not worth your time in customer service they are not about the customer or their experience. 0 stars but it made me give them one to right...
Read moreIn my excitement I booked my first bridal dress try on with Breeze Bridal, they had convenient hours and easy online booking. I got a sitter for my daughter and drove the 2.5 hours to something that was so exciting for me…finding the dress of my dreams. I walked in and was greeted and directed where to sit while I waited for the next available consultant. It was beautiful inside and we didn’t wait long. A friendly young lady helped..I believe her name was Ella. She made me feel comfortable and listened to my likes and dislikes…I tried on a total of about 6 dresses, but fell in love with the 2nd one I tried on…along with the veil…just PERFECT! As soon as I headed to the front the older lady started ringing me up to purchase the dress. We didn’t discuss prices, alterations, NOTHING! I said, “oh my, I have to let my parents know as they are paying and they live out of the country so I need totals to let them know. She asked if I could call them in that moment, but it was already pretty late there and I wanted to discuss with them privately. At that exact moment…she stopped being remotely friendly. I asked if I could have the name of the dress so when I called back I could reference it to purchase. She ignored me and seemed uninterested in helping. I then asked if it would be on my wishlist and she said yes. Later that day I checked and it was still not on there, so the following day I texted to ask about it. No response…then I tried to email…no response. The dress of my dreams was out of reach because I did not pay right then and there. My parents no longer want to spend their money there and I actually agree at this point…I’m sad…but I think that it was a sign to try somewhere else. I guess just be ready to pay on the spot…otherwise you don’t matter. Way to make my first experience wedding dress shopping an negative one. I’ve since booked with a place in STL and so far they have been amazing helping me find a similar dress based off the pictures I have…of the one...
