I entered the restaurant and stood next in line to make my order, when it became my turn to order, the worker rudely told me I needed to get to the back of the line because the other people (white customers) were ahead of me. That was my clue then to leave, but I didn't. Next, I saw the same worker ask the white patrons if they wanted something to drink due to the wait. I was standing there and was not asked if I wanted a drink and I also had to wait for the rice. Let it be known, I do not need a free drink, it's more of the principle. Lastly, when the other patron's food was ready, he was given his food with an apology for the wait, I was handed my food and then the worker walked away. To top things off, my food had no oil and vinegar and the rice was extremely salty, but that is okay, (though I wonder if this was done intentionally). The most traumatic part, to add insult to injury, when I told management of the possible racial slights, he got angry and jumped in my face as if he was going to fight me, yelling he has so many percentage of Black patrons and he is not prejudice. First, I didn't say he was prejudice, I was talking about how I was treated by one of his employees, he didn't listen to me, immediately became aggressive, extremely aggressive, and defended his employee. He became so aggressive, he bumped my chest and put his hand in my face, even stated, "You know what you are", I firmly answered, "Yes, a Black woman"!! Let me add, the patron that witnessed the monstrosity informed, he too saw that I was ahead of him in line and was treated horribly. Our black dollars matter, especially in restaurants. Will not be going back, your choice if you choose to...
Read moreThe smell coming from down the street was very alluring and is what brought me inside to try it out. But I have to say overall I'm very disappointed in the authenticity of the food. As a reference, I will say I have been to Athens ( and the surrounding area) and Cyprus, so I know what real Greek food should taste like. I ordered the gyro sandwich and the pasta salad and my companion got the Greek salad. I was not impressed in the quality and taste. What I got was what I would have expected 2 be served if i ordered a Greek style entree from an All-American restaurant like Shoney's or Applebee's. I could tell straight away that the gyro meat was from a prepared package and not sliced from a rotisserie.
My recommendation to the owner's is, please up your game on your Greek food if you're going to call yourself a Greek restaurant.
However, the saving grace and reason for five stars for service was that the staff was super understanding and accommodating when the order was taken wrong. We had asked for the Greek salad but the cashier had not added it to the ticket. When the food came to the table and it was missing, the misunderstanding was addressed and one was brought out without delay--and at no charge (despite my request to...
Read moreAlthough I enjoy the food at Greek Boys and it sometimes is a go to lunch place. The customer service is not great, I placed an order for delivery and did not receive it yet...I've been waiting 40 minutes and counting past my delivery time given when I placed my order. When I called to address the issue a woman who answered was extremely rude, didn't help me and only said the delivery man was on his way with no ETA. I called a second time and the nice older woman who works there picked up and when she was inquiring about my order I can her the other woman shouting in the background. Very poor customer service! I left my name and number for the manager to call me back but I doubt he will. This has left a poor taste in my mouth, no pun intended, I don't know if I will be spending my money...
