Updated: We decided not to hold a grudge againts these fine gentlemen who very promptly and professionally contacted us to address our concerns.
We would be lacking in our duty to follow the Golden Rule, as we preached below, if we failed to modify our review against the totality of these circumstances. Yes, we still stand by our experince and think Ken needs to rethink his approach. But, the managers heard our complaint and have genuinely listened! We are grateful. We look forward to enjoying this beautful store in the years ahead.
Best,
The Conroys
Original Review: We brought a $30,000 eternity band to be appraised for insurance purposes. Upon dropping off to Ken, possibly the rudest sales person we have ever met, proceeded to lecture us on the meaning of cubic zirconia. His implication being our ring was fake. This after we handled him the 12 GIA certificates. We laugh it off.
Then, we request to have our pending wedding date engraved into the ring, which he wrote down properly, but then proceeds to incorrectly engrave. So now we have to wait while they refill the engraving and do it again. I show up today to pick up the ring and Ken asks me with disgust, "Why do you care, it will wear off anyway" when I questioned him as to why the engraving was off center and crooked.
Ken is the type of arrogant sales rep we can all do without. He projects an attitude of superiority. This beautiful store should be a place of happy memories, not a place of small mindedness where the sales associates accommodate their own insecurities by trying to belittle their customers.
Ken should be encouraged to read, "How to Win Friends and Influence People," by Dale Carnegie. At worst maybe give him a refresher in the importance of following the Golden Rule in the sales process.
Ken: your one star attitude is dragging down a five star store. You can and should strive to do better.
Most Disappointingly,

Read moreCannot recommend Gabe Simms and the Diamond Cellar staff enough.
I was referred by a friend, and I can see why. As many people are, I was initially nervous. Gabe made me feel right at home, offering me a beverage before getting to know me and my now fiance. After briefly talking about how we met, my history and her history, we got down to business. Gabe asked my budget one time, no more, and I didn't once feel pressure to spend above it. He did show me an example of something above my budget side by side with something in budget. I said it wasn't for me, and he put it away and didn't bring it back up. Every ring from then on was within budget, and not all were near the upper end. Gabe showed me low end, middle, upper and above budget rings. Truly gave me a sense of what I was getting for the money, especially with size, color and clarity. He was very honest with differences, and genuinely cared about making me happy with the purchase. After all that was said and done, I had the ring picked out. We set up time a following weekend for me to come back, pay and pick it up.
In that week or so I did some additional fundraising. You only get engaged once, right? I emailed Gabe and asked if we could go through the process again, start over. Gabe was gracious and did the entire process with me again. We put together an amazing ring, and about a few days later the diamond was set and ring sized.
Worth mentioning that while Gabe was grabbing more rings/diamonds from the back room numerous DC employees approached me to make sure I was being helped, and to see if there was anything I needed.
Gabe and the staff not only helped me get a ring that my other half loves, but were extremely professional and patient along the way. I will be back when it's time to buy...
Read moreONE STAR REVIEW. I don’t know if it is an arrangement with DC or not, but google doesn’t post one star reviews for them. A lot of people seem to have had a great experience here but I unfortunately did not. I came in three years ago to inquire about a Rolex watch, and for those who do not know, to get a Rolex watch is very difficult and you must build a relationship with a jeweler for them to vouch for you. My relationship began with the then manager, Don Lewis, and he rolled out the red carpet for me with drinks and smiles. He told me it would be very hard to get a Rolex and that people usually need an unofficial portfolio to get on the list. I then told him I was shopping around for engagement rings and after that I received many texts and calls from him acting like my best friend. He even called me in to try on other people’s Rolex watches to entice me further and told me I can only be considered if I made purchases. After purchasing other brand watches and ORDERING an engagement ring and wedding bands, he cut all communications with me. He didn’t even tell me when the rings arrived and I had to drive over there to find out they have been done for weeks. I even referred friends to him for their engagement rings and he would contact them and still not me. I could not reach him by phone so I would stop in periodically to maintain the relationship and he kept assuring me that he was working on my watch. The final time I reached out to check the progress I found out that he no longer worked there and was promoted to run a different DC in a different state. I never heard from him again and nobody else at DC knows I was ever on the...
