Guitar City & Sound, Inc. — Attraction in Columbus

I bought my first guitar from Guitar City. It was a big deal for me, because I'm a VERY picky shopper. I had visited other competitors' shops and didn't find anything that I was willing to lay money down on. I walked into Guitar City and was greeted with kindness. The manager was very patient with me and allowed me to take my time choosing a guitar, while also understanding that I was a novice guitarist. A Washburn caught my eye and I knew I had to buy it. The manager even offered to cover tax for me! That was four months ago, and today I own the Washburn as well as my Seagull Entourage. I took the next step by taking guitar lessons there. I have horrible stage fright, and I was reluctant, but the owner of Guitar City was sympathetic enough to offer my first lesson for free. Jason (my teacher) has been very understanding and is one of the best music teachers. This is an amazing store, and if it weren't for Guitar City, I wouldn't have my beautiful guitars and my current skills. I highly recommend you make a visit, even if you don't play...

This place is honestly amazing! I’ve been getting into guitars again, and it’s been tricky to say the least. I’ve been on here a few times, and it’s always been so pleasant. Recently, I went in with my foot pedal that wasn’t working correctly. The staff were so helpful and helped me trouble shoot the pedal. We found the issue! Unfortunately, despite being told they had someone who could fix it, I decided to let the petal go... this was in favor of buying a better quality amp! It was amazing for me to have someone be excited and helpful. Just nice to have the same energy and passion for me learning about the different effects was a nice treat. Another great point is how neat and organized the store is! It’s probably hard with the amount of selection they do have, but they are doing a great job there as well. This place is hands down the best guitar shop in Columbus. Everyone is super friendly, loves music, and loves teaching it just as much! I have been playing for 13 years and for years couldn't understand how to break out of the pentatonic pattern. Asking so many people and fellow musicians I got so many different answers. It wasn't until I walked into this shop and asked about breaking the pattern that I finally after years was given information and the knowledge to play whatever I want however I wanted. These guys literally gave me a free crash course for free because my schedule is so hectic and they legitimately wanted to help me. I recommend their store and their services to any musicians beginner, intermediate, and expert. These guys are the greatest and always willing to help....
