update belowWhile the equipment and tanning is nice you often have long wait times for tanning beds, not because the beds are all full but because instead of cleaning the beds some staff (not all) stand up front talking while leaving beds dirty. Everyone upfront seems not to have a specific roll such as checking guests in, new enrollment or specific person monitoring tanning beds. There seems to be poor communication which leads to everyone being off task. Initially, I was told kids have to be 13 to work out. Over the two months this location has been open I've seen several young kids in here (7-11 yrs old). I asked other patrons if they were informed that their children were too young to be in there. These different people told me no one told them their kids can't physically be in there, and they're just not allowed on equiptment. Mind you I've seen several difference kids in here..not just one family and these kids were on equiptment!! Then I bring my kid in and am told he cannot even be in the building. I said he's not working out and will be with me at all times. He was still denied to be in the building. The teenage girl working says they verify kids are 13 yrs old to be in there. I informed her I know for a fact a 9 yr old was in there WORKING OUT with his dad while SHE was working. She told me that was not so. I informed her I know it's true because I spoke to people with children in there and they were in there while she was working. My thing is if kids can't be in there fine. However, don't pick and choose which ones can/cant be. Then she acted like i dont know what im talking about when im in here 3-4 times a week and see several difference young kids in here. update The GM did speak to me my first time back since the above review. She apologized for the misunderstanding and stated she will ensure everyone's in line with policy (no kids under 13) so I never feel singled out or disrespected. Additionally, she apologized for the issue with tanning bed wait times and stated they are addressing this and getting things in line so customers don't have to wait. She was very empathetic and kind. While i know her face I didnt realize she was the GM or I could have spoken to her about this directly as she's very personable, helpful, and is always working hard in here! Read moreI did a secret shop on this location. I was greeted at the door however they never offered me a tour several staff were in the cut in different locations on their phones. I went on ahead conducted the shop anyway even tho I was not given a tour I was told to go ahead and walk around and take the tour myself. Nothing was explained to me I was calm cool and collect the entire time, and then when I left I informed them that I was shopping around for gyms and I would get back to them if I decided to choose the gym. I reported all that happened in the shop and they actually lied to mY boss, told her that me and my wife came in refused to put on a mask signed up at the tablet and then walked out, however I never touched the tablet. I informed my boss that was not the case and they sent it back to planet fitness, the staff proceeded to continue to lie on me and I was not paid for my work because they didn't want to admit to the bad shop. The fact that management lied on me having my description and all is just disgusting. So when I found that I wasn't getting paid for my shop I called and asked to speak with management, the GM got on the phone and was extremely rude I guess upset that I was the shopper that gave them a bad review, I got discredited at my job and marked down as making false shops and lowered my shopper score. The staff here at this location are disgusting rude and straight up liars. I would never recommend anyone to ever come here not even because of the dirty facility it's the nasty rude unprofessional staff for me. Read moreThis has been my home gym for 11 years and I’ve loved it, but I’ll be changing my home gym to the west broad or stringtown locations due to recent equipment changes among other concerns. This is not convenient for me and adds 20 minutes drive time round trip. For some reason this location decided to eliminate all but 2 stationary bikes which is the cardio route I have to go these days due to a back issue. There were previously 7 bikes but they only kept 2 and 1 of them doesn’t work. They have road bike style stationary bikes with a rock hard seat and big TV screen that lets you ride virtual “courses”. Tried it and it’s a no-go. I ride road bikes and have for years, but these are very uncomfortable and don’t put you in natural body position to ride… i’ve almost never seen anyone using them, yet for some reason with this equipment change management decided to add a couple more of those while taking away the majority of the bikes that everyone actually uses. (even though they were the inferior Matrix bikes and all other PF locations now carry the lifestyle fitness bikes which are far superior) The staff here has always been friendly and the place is kept clean, but the TVs never work, leaky ceilings and inferior equipment options are forcing me to leave.
