I attempted to pick up 2 orders for Doordash with a pickup time of 12:24. I arrived at 12:15. When I arrived at the window the order was not ready at 12:30. I was asked to pull to the second window. I asked how long would it be before the order was ready and was told 3 to 4 minutes. I waited another 20 minutes at the second window and knocked on the window to find out what was going on. The black manager threw a huge fit and opened the window and started yelling at me. He completely flipped on me. He told me that I had to cancel the order and let someone else deliver it. I called support and explained what was going on and pulled to the menu board and was told that I was rude to his employees and he would not release the food to me. How I was rude by knocking on the window after waiting 20 minutes when they told me 3 or 4 minutes is beyond me. So doordash cancelled the orders for over $60 in food! I still was paid on the orders as the driver. This manager was so out of control it was crazy. I understand it is a stressful job, but I was not doing anything out of line trying to figure out where an order that should have been ready at 12:24 was still not ready by 12:51. They could have given me an update at any point if there was a problem, but they did not. I have a schedule I need to keep as well and the complete disrespect shown to me was ridiculous. He seriously needs some anger management, customer service training and probably just...
Read moreWe came through the drive-thru on our way to Ohio, we don't have any White Castle's in Texas. These aren't your typical lil hamburgers they're probably the first "sliders" that came along. They only have meat, cheese and pickles on them and are square. You can purchase a meal or purchase them by groups of 10-20 (and larger). Their hamburgers have their own flavor to them that can't be compared to any other sandwich. You can purchase them in the freezer section of some grocery stores, I've seen them in Walmart, but they don't taste quite the same so if you've never had them don't base your decision on those, have a fresh one first. They are "ok" but on the way back home my husband pulled in and I had to convince him to go somewhere else. This particular location wasn't hard to locate after getting off the interstate and it was easy to get back on the interstate and on our way again. Although we did get our food through the drive-thru we did park so we could use their restroom. This is an older store and the restroom wasn't overly pleasant, but it's a restroom and one that's for one person at a time. I would suggest at least trying White Castle and making your own decision as to whether you like them or not. They're one of those things you just gotta try...
Read moreI have been a fan of White Castle for as long as I can remember. Growing up, a stop at White Castle was always a bright spot of any day.
I still stick to the basics, but they are so satisfying, I don't need to explore the menu.
Those steam grilled onions.... my mouth is watering, just typing this.
Double-Cheesburger meal with substituting the onion chips. I have nothing against their fries, but I will take those deep-fried onion delights over crinkle fries any day of the week.
The single combo is enough to fill me up, Medium Size on the onion chips. Small, leaves me wanting more. Large, will tell me later (of course, they are eaten faster than my body can tell me that I am full) that I ate too many.
I was there before Craver Nation became a thing. I will be there when they come up with their next catchy theme.
In fact, I will be there in the drive-through on my next night off.
Did I mention steam...
