New developments 2021 include the NIH Federal Credit Union. There's a new taco place (District Taco) that replaced a Chinese restaurant that was there for decades. I miss the chicken fried rice a lot but change happens. Taco District (located off the EW Hwy & Colesville Rd entrance on the right) replicates the Chipotle layout of food & style of service. Evening: I was hungry but was not moved by the layout of food as I would have been had it been a Chipotle. I passed. All in all, things are pretty pricey in this strip mall; in the whole area actually. Giant, CVS (open 24 hours), Oriental East (noted by Washingtonian in cheap eats), Mamma Lucia (Italian restoraunt), Brian's barbershop, BK nails, a coffee shop and small carry out. Everything in one place and it's good food. The problem as always is a parking. Giant crowd almost fill it to the top. Also most places are closing at 10 PM (except cvs). Wish they be open till midnight counting several condos around and a lot of apartments. Just a wish. The center went for renovation. No more Oriental East, BK Nails and Brians barbershop. But now ZINburger ( summer 2019) and District Taco. Hopefully ZinBurger will be open...
