Booming Vacation Homes — Attraction in Oak Ridge

Where do I begin? What an amazing experience I had with Booming Vacation Homes. I had the pleasure of staying two weeks in one of their properties in Davenport at Windsor Island Resort. Before I even arrived the communication was clear and always easy. Living outside the county it’s always nerve wracking and concerning to book a place you haven’t personally been to especially when it’s outside of your homeland. The team was so kind in answering all of my concerns and questions before I even booked that booking was a no brainer. I was able to get all my check in details and house information a few days before my arrival so I had plenty of time to look through it. Home was self check in so this facilitated our arrival process. When I stepped into the home I was greeted with a home that was even better than the pictures which is so hard these days. The clean and fresh smell when you opened the door is still something I think about! The attention to details was superior - toilet paper rolls were placed with pretty rose flowers, clean white towels laid out in beautiful and intricate designs and even a dinner table set with beautiful plates and wine glasses ready for us to entertain and spend some much needed family time. The private pool and spa are to die for and not having anyone directly behind the house made it such a private and relaxing experience. Whenever I had a question during my stay they answered within minutes and never left me clueless or searching for answers on my own. A vacation where I can actually relax - wonderful! We had a few hiccups and needed maintenance out and they were even better. Caring, detail-oriented and FAST. I stayed at a Booming Vacation Homes property and had a terrible experience. My vehicle was towed in the middle of the night with no prior warning, no signage on-site, and no clear disclosure in the rental agreement or check-in instructions. When I contacted the company for reimbursement of the towing fee, they refused and insisted the information was “clear” — but it was not.

After my experience, I found multiple other reviews online from past guests who also had their cars towed under the same circumstances. This shows a pattern of predatory behavior and failure to disclose important information that causes guests unnecessary stress and expense.

Guests should be warned that this company does not take responsibility for their lack of transparency. I would not recommend booking with Booming Vacation Homes.

EDITED TO ADD; image of the neighborhood parking signs that clearly state no street parking with no mention of towing for sidewalk blocking. Rental company is expecting out of town guests to assume responsibility of looking up local laws and using it as a cop out for their failure to communicate CLEAR parking guidelines for their own rental property. It IS NOT in the rental contract as they’re stating in their reply, I looked over it numerous times the morning we woke up to our vehicle missing.

I have asked multiple times for them to point out where they clearly state sidewalk blocking = towing, and they cannot. But sure, it’s our fault. Will never recommend this company to anyone because the lack of ‘putting themselves in their guest’s shoes’ as Larissa...

Renting this vacation home was the best decision I made for our trip! I rented residence 8968 Paradise Palms through Booming vacation homes and the house was absolutely gorgeous. It was clean and filled with everything we could have possibly needed. Check in was super easy, as was check out. This was my first time trying a vacation rental instead of staying at a hotel but the instructions for the stay were well in depth which made everything workout smoothly.

We happen to be an all adult group this time visiting but the house would be perfect for a family with kids. If I come back with my kids this will be where we stay for sure!

The neighborhood is quiet and friendly, lots of other kids. I happened to mention to the owner that it was a trip to celebrate my birthday and he went out of the way to get a balloon and flowers, so huge shout out to him. We had a private pool that was perfect, just the right size to relax and enjoy yourself (not too deep for kids). The house is located in the perfect spot. Whether you’re visiting one of the parks or just spending time locally, you are near everything. I could go on and on with everything that made this house worth staying at, I truly have no complaints at all.
