Cato Fashions — Attraction in Fruit Cove

This is my 2nd time going in. My 1st time the manager/ supervisor was in but she was too focused on picking clothes from the floor bur also moving from one rack to another while there were 5 people in line waiting for 30 min. And she had the audacity to get upset when i said something. It's one thing to pick clothes up off the floor that others don't trip. But it's another to be slow about it and move things around. Just puck up and get it out of the way... then help the customers. The other lady was nice and attentive and apologetic for the wait the whole time.

Fast forward 1.5 yrs later. Same 2 people working. The cashier was welcoming, the supervisor was not, at least not until i ventured where she was although she had the same line of sight to the door as the other. Greet your customers. Not too much to ask. But when i was ready to check out she did acknowledge me finished what was in her hands and checked me out and in that moment made up for all the attitude i felt existed. We all all human and deserve 2nd chances. I will go back more...

I have been going to Cato for years and have absolutely loved it! Unfortunately this store has been going downhill though the past year and after todays quick visit I WILL NOT return. I walked in with a cart because I had my baby with me and could not carry him so I thought it would be ok seeing as Marshalls is right next door and they told me it was fine to use their cart. No sooner did I walk in and a lady came quickly saying “absolutely no carts allowed in the store!” Mind you I have done this before with no issue but even so if she would have addressed me nicer and not so angry and defensive I would have responded differently. I asked her since when and she said since it’s store policy. So I turned around and left. Horrible customer service and sad that they don’t offer carts or anything like so many other stores around do. Will not return, do not recommend. Go to Maurices in Oakleaf for better...

Went into the building to buy something white to wear the church.. upon trying on the outfit the bottom of the white pantsuit collected dirt from off the floor. brought this to the manager Regina's attention. Was given a 10% discount for the bottom of the pantsuit being dirty as I go to the register to pay in cash.. Regina checks the money. She proceeds to tell me that the money is counterfeit. The marking on the money was yellow.. I took the money to the bank and the bank assure me that the money was not counterfeit.. I figured Regina was mad because I told her how dirty the floors was in the store 🙄🤷.. so if I could rate this store they wouldn't have never got...
