Colonial Village Shopping Center — Attraction in Arlington

People who want to park, beware!!!

The food is great at Ben's and I've always had good experiences with the service and quality. It pains me to have to rate this place with 1 star due to a complication with the parking lot. My friends and I parked at Bens and walked to meet a friend at the metro station and enjoyed a great meal together. Unfortunately, we walked outside and were unable to find our car, it having been towed when we left the plaza for a period of no more than 5 minutes. It was clearly written that parking was available for shoppers in the plaza for a period of up to 1 hour, but did not say they would tow if you stepped out of the lot for a moment. Even with leaving, our dinner took about 50 minutes having arrived at 6:30 and preparing to leave at 7:20.

After we called the towing company to no avail, the staff was very helpful afterwards and called the towing company on our behalf. Apparently we weren't the first to have encountered this.

I can’t emphasize how many times my wife and I have come here since moving into the DC-Virginia area. We have happily spent untold $$$$ over the years since the restaurants here are great. HOWEVER, we will no longer come to this shopping center. Predatory parking enforcement to the MAX! Unless you stay within the shopping area you will get towed. Period. Full stop. My wife bought coffee, ate lunch, and got dessert in the shopping center and decided to walk around the neighborhood to keep her body looking snatched af.
