I sought out 5 estimates mid last year and looked at the estimates carefully. Picking not only the best price, but also what I felt was the best bang for the buck. DSP came in thousands of dollars cheaper from the competition. One might ask, but that would mean you're not getting what you're paying for.. right? WRONG! One of the major cost saving attributes was due to most of the Trades/contractors are all completed in house. I sat down with 4 of the 5 companies, asked the same questions about quality, man power, time frame from start to finish, materials used etc. DSP impressed me the most hands down. I had a estimate done with Paul the Senior Design Consultant. He actually came over to my yard, and drew up plans with a vision I had in mind. He placed my vision on his computer and got to work. Paul Buntrock was AMAZING to work with. From beginning to end. He kept me in the loop, answered all questions I had and basically made me feel like a respected customer, even if I hadn't signed a contract with them yet... Paul was there! Following steps, we signed and got the pool contract rolling forward. I met with Brent who was the Super on site for my project. Very humble and awesome guy. Gave me solid advise, tips and updates as needed throughout the project and handled management process smoothly. I have to annotate this as important for new pool owners. As this is my first ever pool build. The process to build pools is extensive.. I had no idea how many hands are in the pot, figure of speaking. There are so many different trades that get this pool complete... it's Art if I'm to be fair. The team from Digging, tiling, cleaning crew, shotcrete, plaster, decking and the list can go on ALL did a masterful job. A craft of their trade, just remarkable to see this team work together in harmony so well. The craftsmanship, work ethics of the team, quality of work from the tradesman and communication from the business was nothing short of exemplary. I couldn't be happier with DSP. Amazing job, amazing pool and amazing team. Thank you all for such an amazing experience and final product.

I love how all positive ratings are soon after they have their pool completed. We felt the same way, until we needed warranty work done (this will happen to everybody and we knew this would happen). Every time it’s pulling teeth and you feel like you are putting them out of their way when warranty work needs to be completed. The current warranty “specialist” Shelly starts her day at 5 and leaves most of the time before 1 pm. That alone shows she wants to have as little interaction with clients as possible. Recently we had a valve break. A valve that has been replaced under warranty two (2) times before. This time both Shelly and Jake say they don’t cover it. I had to basically sit down with them and read the warranty to them where it is written clearly that valves are covered under warranty for three (3) years. They both said, yes, my break is a valve but not the valve that is covered. I asked where does it say what valves are covered and which are not and they could not provide me that information but to believe them, mine is not covered. That alone goes to show you the level of intelligence and customer relationship you will have once your pool is installed. Yes, it makes me laugh out loud how ridiculous these individuals sound. It makes me think I made some shady … deal in the back alley and now they change the terms of the agreement. Shady businesses or companies that are about to go bankrupt operate like this. I’m hoping it’s new management/leadership that is the cause for this. If not, it’s employees like this (Jake/Shelly) that will destroy a company due to their inability to do the right thing. Regardless, it’s sad as I thought we were dealing with a decent company at the beginning but they pulled the wool over our eyes. It’s too bad you can’t have a good honest company with good honest employees anymore. On another note, the sub contractors have always been pleasant and nice.

We interviewed a few pool companies in the valley. DSG came highly recommended from two of my coworkers. We had a large job to do that included the pool, landscaping, BBQ island, outside living room, and fire pit. We wanted a company that could do it all, and we found it with DSG. We had a few ideas of what we wanted, and it was clear that the designers/salesmen, Paul (pool) and Kevan (landscaping) had the experience to ensure we did it correctly. We met a few times and got it exactly how we wanted. We made minor changes along the way, and it was never a problem to get something corrected. For instance, the pool hand rail we originally ordered was installed and was not what we expected. It was not a problem. They resolved it the next day after giving us a few different ideas. The entire 4 month process was like this - easy, low stress. The two biggest things that made us choose DSG was 1. Experience 2. The fact that they did it all in-house (most). They were very up front with the list of subcontractors that they used. But most of the work was done in house. Brent (pool) and Mario (landscape) were my two main points of contact for the 4 month process (very large job). They made it easy and listened when I had a question, or a change of ideas. You may also be working with Lupe, and Zee, who helped keep me informed. The project management on this job was impressive. I encourage you to talk to multiple pool builders, but stop in at DSG last. You will be able to see the difference in quality. Check out my pictures. Thank you DSG.

From my personal experience I would NOT recommend Desert Springs due to schedule delays on Desert Springs part, communication issues, and poor customer service. We initially went with them after meeting with 3 other pool companies. The attention to detail on the rendering is what made us choose Desert Springs over the other pool companies. To start we were pressured into signing a contract or risk losing the original pricing that was given to us. Then they were scheduled to start but were a no call no show, which I took a day off work to be home for. They apologized, then everything was good until they installed the wrong tile/grout on the spillway of the spa. The grout on the spa is now/still two different colors. Then they laid the forms for the concrete around the pool but either the pool was laid out in the wrong spot, or they measured incorrectly from the beginning, so the concrete forms did not layout. We constantly for an entire month were reaching out (calls, texts & pictures) to try to get it resolved with little to no help from Desert Springs. This set the pool back 5 weeks. At the end the concrete around the pool was completely different than what we wanted/agreed to initially. We were then sent an email stating they would contact us to schedule a pre-plaster inspection. We were not ready for the inspection because (one) they scheduled the pre-plaster inspection without our knowledge even though we were required to be there and (two) it was never communicated we had to have the gate reinstalled prior to the pre-plaster inspection. The only way we found out was thinking they were coming out to install the Pebble Tec at which time they acted surprised we were not ready for the inspection. This is on-going because as of now 5/6/25 the pool is still not complete, not what we were expecting when spending 80k on a pool. Buyer Beware….

Update: As of 5/15/25 the pool is NOT complete, we were just informed the pebble tec has been rescheduled the day before they were due to install because they are having equipment issues. This was after we were sent an email asking for payment where they stated, "Lack of communication may result in rescheduling" and they had "instructed their crew to pull off if payment was not made resulting in a $375 pull off charge". This email was sent 5/9/25 we paid for the pebble tec in...
