Booked the 2024 members' cruise. The CM put the WRONG birthdates for my sons, LEFT my daughter OFF the reservation and entered the WRONG stateroom requests - requested adjoining. I was told today May 6th, 2023, my choices were to: CANCEL and go on a waiting list or leave my reservation as is PAY modification fees for changing the birthdates, adding my daughter, and moving the children 17/15/10 into my stateroom as the other adult can no longer go. The best part - I was on hold for nearly 45 minutes to be treated this way. The best part of course is that the itinerary has not been sent in to set up safety protocols, so it would make sense to alter the reservation now. ESPECIALLY SINCE IT IS NOT DUE TO MY ERROR. Management said no. But they are willing to add new parties on to the manifest which will likely result in a larger capacity then if they released the 1 room and allowed the children all under my reservation. BOTH rooms are under my member number. Now I have to tell my children that a CM made mistakes and we lose out on our trip!? I joined DVC because of an amazing experience at All Stars in 2017. If you want to contact someone to assist you with your membership, be prepared to spend at least one hour, on an average, to speak with someone. You will be their captive! You will earn annual points to travel and if you cannot travel or your arrangements become complicated, your problems will also become complicated. It directs you to call an 800 number for help, but no one answers—apparently due to the holidays. Isn’t this supposed to be a vacation resort? Shouldn’t support be available during the holidays, when members are most likely to travel?
