This new indoor playground is so cool and clean. I have 4 kids and it was their first time going. We stayed from 3:30 to close at 8pm. I would love to give this place a 5star review however the rude and unsolicited passive aggressive service my children and I received upon the close of business was INEXCUSABLE. I paid $100 for entrance (that includes paying for socks) that stated 9am until 8pm. A countdown of “closing time” was heard over the intercom multiple times. When there was about 7 minutes to close, an employee approached my children telling them that they needed to leave and the establishment was closed. When I walked up and confusingly looked at my watch it was not 8pm, so I stated that to the employee who then said “Um we are already cleaning, and we are closed” after I realized she was “politely” being rude with her hand gestures I told her “my ticket states my kids can play until 8, they also said over the intercom that we had 7 minutes left” the employee then got an attitude and tried to get security to throw us out, which he did not and told her “ITS NOT 8pm yet.” The employee proceeded to go around talking to all other employees within earshot saying something along the lines of “idk what their problem is, we are closed and clearly cleaning” I did not appreciate this so my kids played up until the last minute. I then went to speak to the manager and the employee bum rushed the front desk trying to say “I didn’t say that, I wasn’t aggressive, run the cameras back” while continuously talking with her hands. I told the manager I am not requesting a refund I just wanted to let him know we are frequent visitors of indoor playgrounds and will not be back to this location because of this incident.
One other thing, I called ahead to ask specifically about the snack policy and also asked again when I arrived and was told no outside food or drink was allowed and we would have to eat outside or in the area where people take their shoes off. We did that. After we did, a white family brought 2 entire pizzas (not for a party) and sat right next to the front desk and had their kids eating and playing. Not sure if it was discriminatory or not but Based on these two things I will not be going back to Kidzville. Just to note, if I take my kids to this establishment once a month every month, that’s a minimum of $1200 just from my family that has been lost due to...
Read moreI am updating my review as the owner requested feedback.
To start, this play place was well equipped with an abundance of play areas, toys, ball pits, and activities for kids of all ages. I can not take away that this place by far had the most equipment I've ever seen.
The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The pizza we had for a birthday party here was tasty.
Takeaways that should be addressed to help the place run smoothly:
It was extremely overcrowded. Quality over quantity should be the focus. This place gave quality service and quality equipment, but the quantity of people that they allowed in does not allow you or your children to truly enjoy the perks this place has to offer. We could not relax for a second because our children were being trampled by crowds of kids running past them, jumping ahead, and being careless of others around them. There was no quality control.
Shoes off at the door, totally good with. Purchase socks, I totally agree with... but community croc's to use the restrooms... was an absolute No for me and my family. Suggestion of disposable shoe covers placed outside of the doors to place over your socks would have been more appropriate. Each person gets their own, they get tossed after, and there is no hold up to use the restroom because you aren't waiting around for a sized croc that you can fit your feet into. As long as the cleaning staff stay on top of the bathrooms, this should run smoothly.
Some of the equipment placement presented a safety concern for the children. There were a few times I had to rush over to grab my kid to avoid them being stuck by equipment that another kid was utilizing in the same vicinity. It is just a lot packed into this place, so I get this could potentially happen. I just feel I should mention it to avoid an injury.
Overall, the children had a good time, the party was a success, and we would return possibly on a weekday when they are prayerfully less busy.
To the Owner: Perhaps offer a special time frame to parents during the week where only toddlers can play freely to avoid the mad rush of older kids &...
Read moreI do not usually write reviews but I had to for this place. I visited Kidz Park today. I was super excited to come when I found out about it from a friend recently. This place is absolutely amazing and super clean. It's like an indoor King's Dominion lol! Much cleaner than Hyper Kidz in Columbia and way bigger with so many more activities for the children to do. This place was very smart on how they mapped each activity out. We didn't even get to do everything so we are so excited to come back. It is very age appropriate and safe how they placed each section. Very well thought out! Also, I saw staff tidying up and cleaning during our almost 2 hour visit. One employee even walked past and kept the young kids safe by closing the play gate when one of the kids were trying to venture off alone. I thanked all of those employees for their excellent work. I really hope they keep it up. I really hope this place does not go down hill after the hype dies down. I really wanted to talk to the owner to let them know how much we appreciated this place. Kidz Park please don't be like Hyper Kidz and use duct tape to try to fix equipment. Just replace it. It's safer and looks much more classy. Please continue to clean, clean, clean. Keep this place nice, clean, and safe please or unfortunately we won't come back especially because of these Covid times we are living in. Will there be an option to purchase monthly or annual passes? Please make this an option! The only bad thing I have to say about this place is that they need to make it required to wear masks! We left early because of this. It started to get really crowded towards the end of our stay. I read someone else's review and totally forgot to add this when I made this...
