Leaders Furniture of Jensen Beach — Attraction in Jensen Beach

Our Maui Polisoul 48" dining set, sofa, chairs and coffee table were delivered 1/2022. When we purchased the furniture, a $10,000 order, we told Susan, the salesperson who is no longer is employed there, that we were looking for low maintenance & durability.

We were not told until the delivery man showed us that the Maui Polisoul furniture needs a protectant applied every couple of months to prevent fading & IS PRONE TO STAINING. The delivery man used a wire brush to demonstrate how to remove stains. You basically sand/shred the top layer of the table. The ownership care packet is attached to the delivered furniture but Susan never discussed it with us.

Despite using the Meguiar's protectant as recommended & keeping the furniture under a north facing covered porch & using placemats/coasters to prevent stains, the round dining table & the coffee table had water stains. We used a wire brush as instructed in the ownership care packet & continued to apply the Meguiar's protectant . The table tops would become faded after a few weeks & require another application. The table legs & chairs were fine so it appears the use of the wire brush to remove stains also removes the finish.

We contacted Leaders 12/2023 & I requested that the table tops be replaced since the furniture was still under warranty. We were told by the rude resolution service rep that the fading was not possible as the color goes all the way through. The rep said we would need to deliver the 48" round table & coffee table to the store ouselves as they no longer would pickup items that needed to be repaired under the warranty. Fine. We were told by the store manager, Elisa (very nice) when we dropped off the furniture in 3/2024 that if the tops could not be repaired, Leaders would replace the tops.

We picked up the furniture a week later to find that Leaders only applied the same Meguir's protectant which is what we had been doing. Had we known that they were just applying the same protectant that we had applied, we would not have gone to the trouble to deliver the tables to the store and then pick them up. We now need to apply Meguir's every month to restore the table tops which the rep says should not be needed.

I have expensive Breezesta polywood type furniture & inexpensive Polywood furniture from Home Depot which requires no maintenance ( just a wipe with a moistened paper towel) & has held up much better.

To sum up: The salesperson sold us furniture without telling us the Maui Polisoul is prone to staining & periodic maintenance required. Leaders did not replace the faded table tops that are under warranty & has not offered a solution. The Resolution sales rep was beyond rude.

The Leader's furniture store and furniture are beautiful. We had the pleasure to meet with sales representative Philip who was polite, friendly, knowledgeable and professional. We purchased a beautiful outdoor furniture set which was to be delivered. Up until this point everything went well. On the day prior to the prearranged delivery date I received a text message stating that the delivery would be between 1:45 and 3:45 pm which I confirmed with Leader's. Since we are in the process of moving into our new home and not living there at the time I arrived at 1:00 pm just in case the delivery arrived early and the delivery men would not have to wait for us. I then sat in the vacant home until 4:00 pm when I called the number in the confirmation email to find out when the furniture would be delivered. No live person answered the telephone but I was forwarded to three different extensions and directed to leave a message at each one. When I tried to leave a message at each extension I received a message stating that the voice mailbox was full. I then called the Leader's store where I purchased the furniture from and I was advised that the delivery was delayed and they would be there at 5:18 PM. When they did not arrive by 5:30 PM I again called the store and this time I was advised that they delivery would be there by 6:00 pm. I asked them to call me when they had a firm delivery time. A little after 6:00 pm I received a call from the store advising that the delivery would be there shortly. The delivery finally arrived at 6:40 pm. The delivery was three hours late and I never received a call from Leader's until the delivery was already hours late. Between the unanswered telephone calls to the delivery department to the 3 hour late delivery the entire delivery process was unacceptable. If the delivery is going to be late at least call the customer and advise them or at the very least answer the telephone when the customer calls when the delivery is late. Back in February we were visiting Florida from North Carolina and found the perfect furniture for our sunroom at the Leaders Furniture store in Palm Harbor. Being a full furniture set, we were concerned with how we’d get it back to our home in NC. Leaders shipped it to us and it arrived very well wrapped and in perfect condition.

We are again visiting Florida, this time at Jensen Beach, and need something to cover our walls in that same sunroom. So, we sought out the nearby Leaders Furniture Store. We found the perfect piece, a beautiful nearly 6-foot long metalwork landscape that would look perfect in our sunroom. Unfortunately, we were once again faced with the quandary of how to get it back home since it was a sizable piece and we were already traveling with a packed car.

Our sales rep, Susan, worked with us for probably 30 minutes as to several options, helped us with measuring the artwork, our car, and even unpacked another similarly sized piece so we could see if we could pack it in that box and fit it in the car. In the end it didn’t fit, so we decided that shipping it would be best as the last experience worked out so well.

I can’t say enough about the sales personnel at either of these Leaders stores. They were so pleasant and helpful. And the products here are top notch from the furniture to the wall decor.
