So note to self do not do Ruby Tuesdays on Tuesday... We have eaten here a few times in the last couple of weeks and the dinner and appetisers have always been great, Which made our reasoning to drive 25 minutes to come to The restaurant tonight. But for whatever reason the food was very off tonight sadly. My 1st ribeye was definitely over seasoned very salty and undercooked. When I advised the manager she gave me a choice of If I wanted a credit or to have the cook turn the oven back on I kind of felt odd but this was my dinner I had not eaten so they said OK will have him make you a new one... Let's just say I should have taken the credit or the card... The 2nd steak came out and you can obviously tell it was not cooked correctly it wasn't even the same colour of numerous steaks prior; texture and taste horrible-was just totally off, it was disgusting. When I mentioned to the server that unfortunately you can tell this was not done correctly and was no good she stood by the fact of the steak was cooked correctly by the cook which again was very evident it was not. I advised her that I would pay for the plate and thank you... We received the bill and checked out, a little disappointed that the manager didn't even choose to even put 5% or 10% discount knowing very well that the plate was not done to standard... Anyhow I have had couple of plates here that have been real good again hence The Choice to drive 25 minutes out of my way to go to ruby Tuesdays when I literally have the alehouse 10 minutes from my house but note to self, another visit will definitely be if I'm in the area kind of thing because now I feel like the food quality is a 50/50 for what I would ger. Attached 2 photos, can't really see in the photos the colour of the meat, obviously can't see the texture or taste lol but anyways again no Ruby Tuesday on a tuesday note to self!
4/2021 - I want to add And update here. I have returned to ruby Tuesdays at the request of my son. While there in the afternoon I had lunch and the server Marie was great. The manager Rose Marie came over to our table and we ended up talking about the awful experience we had prior. Now I do want to make mention that I have never been contacted by Ruby Tuesday regarding that horrible experience; in speaking to Rose Marie she was very empathic about how things were handled, apologized for the other managers handling of the situation, emphasized that the situation should have been handled differently and offered to make it right. Rose Marie really came through for Ruby Tuesdays and fixed a situation, because they had lost a customer for sure...Rose Marie TRULY knows what it means to be a manager and what it means to create customer loyalty ESPECIALLY in such trying times!! Hats off to Rose Marie!! Ruby Tuesdays should recognize her great skills as a manager and her skills on handling a bad situation to make...
Read moreWorst experience I’ve had in a long time at a restaurant on the treasurer coast. My husband and I had a chance to get out without the kids so we stopped in for an early dinner and drinks. The hubby ordered his usual favorite drink out the Long Island and I ordered an electric lemonade. When the drinks arrived his drink looked like the yellow Gatorade and had a foam on top. We knew right away it was wrong but tasted it anyway since some restaurant do drinks differently. However it was a margarita. (I’m a certified mixologist) ok mix ups happen so we tell our waitress and she replies with “are you sure” so I said “yes, for one thing Long Island have coke in them so this shouldn’t be yellow.” She said ok took the drink away then camp back with his “new drink” apologize and said they fixed it. It was now yellow with brown floating through it and foam on top. So what they did was add coke to the margarita. I asked to speak to the manager Kyle and explained what happened and that we wanted to just cancel our order and leave and he said “well I was the one that made the drink and I did forget the coke so that is fine if you want to leave but you will have to pay for the other drink since there was nothing wrong with it and take it to go.” Honesty I felt that was extremely rude and now forced us to either have to leave the mall right away or walk around with an alcoholic drink. If he didn’t know how to make the drink he could have googled it. The foam on top came from it being shaking which you do not do to a Long Island but you do to a margarita. So this really makes me wonder if they “fake” remaking a drink what else do they say they are doing but aren’t? Sorry for the long rant but hopefully this will reach the right people and they can guide the staff on how...
Read moreFor the first time in the 20 years I have visited, tonight was a disaster. Word of warning - stay away from the "buy one steak get another for $5" schtick - because that $5 steak was apparently marinated in a bucket of dirty mop water in the janitor's closet. My companion's steak was quite decent - mine was bone dry, hard and tasted awful. The real treat came when I sent it back and was then presented with an adjusted check - one that removed only $5 and INCREASED the charge for my salad bar from the $5.99 add-on price to the $12.99 ala carte price - because my $5 piece of leather had been refunded. Things really improved as the 12 year old server with a penchant for calling me "hun" felt the need to explain the theory of debits and credits to this career Banker. It was at this juncture that I asked to speak with the Manager so that we might all enjoy the math lesson together. My request was refused - which at that point told me there was no Manager present. Miraculously, a second check appeared - this one was still not adjusted correctly, but seeing as I'd had enough at this point, I added the tip (calculated on the original bill amount, because I always try to do the right thing) - and got out of there before my head exploded. And before you ask - yes, it was right about this time that I was kicking myself for not satisfying my rare but intense craving for a steak with a trip to Longhorn. I won't make that...
