4/5/2024 Update: I brought my newly acquired 16570 to the store for sizing. Although I was ready to pay for the resizing of a Rolex not purchased from their store, Charlie declined to charge me. Today’s service quality remains consistent with my past experiences at this location, and despite my upcoming relocation for a dream job, I will remain a loyal customer of this particular Rolex AD. You can always expect Charlie and the team to surpass the service standards of any other Rolex AD in the vicinity.
Original 7/2023 Post: Astounding! How else can I express my sheer elation? Sherrelle, today, has added an unforgettable chapter to my life story. This morning, I called to inquire about the wait time for a Rolex Sub date, no date, or Explorer II - a symbol of celebration for the grueling Master's program I'm about to complete in DC. With the anticipation of meeting Sherrelle face-to-face, I swung by the store. Upon entering and exchanging greetings with Sherrelle, I was unexpectedly offered a chance to try on a Sub-no-date that had just delivered. Although I've never had the opportunity to experience a Rolex on my wrist, it would be interesting to see how it compared to my Omega Speedmaster. I eagerly agreed.
Shortly after, Sherrelle reappeared, this time accompanied by Charlie, a well-versed Rolex specialist. They presented me with the Sub no-date, an exquisite piece of craftsmanship that left me marveling at its beauty - a Rolex Submariner I had yearned for but couldn't acquire due to persistent waitlists. Amid my admiration, Charlie broke the silence by asking my thoughts on the watch. In response, I expressed my profound love for the timepiece, to which he replied, "Well, it's yours if you want it." MIC. DROP. My mind went into a state of shock, a complete Blue Screen of Death, rebooting several times before I finally came back to reality.

I’ve purchased four Rolex timepieces over the years and all with Charlie. I’ll never forget my first Rolex and the experience of the process. I spent two hours (this was my option and obviously depends on each person) sitting down with Charlie and he walked me through every detail of my Rolex GMT-Master II. Here’s a quick example: Charlie provided the history of the The GMT-Master II, which was created for pilots who traveled in multiple time zones. Charlie showed me how it worked and how to properly set it up, which I use when on travel (pre-covid). He went on to give me a magazine that highlighted my timepiece. I also wanted to have the watch engraved, which made me very nervous. Charlie took care of all the details and eased my worries, which was done at no additional charge. The timepiece came back exactly how I envisioned and looked beautiful My entire experience was memorable.
Overall if you’re looking for your first timepiece or second, third, fourth etc.. I highly recommend Charlie Waters over at Liljenquist & Beckstead. He may not have the watch you’re looking for, but go in sit down and meet with Charlie and share your thoughts on what you want. If you’re patient one day you’ll get the “magic” phone call and it will be a day you never forget.

Read moreI’ve been meaning to leave a review based on my past few experiences visiting this Liljenquist & Beckstead location. Overall, this is my favorite location based strictly on my interactions with the associates.
In late 2019, I visited this location looking for a Rolex watch to commemorate my upcoming wedding. Obviously at that time, the supply was already slim but had an enjoyable conversation with Matt about the supply/demand situation and his outlook. While we all understand that these pieces are difficult to come by, Matt still took the time to take my information down in the event the watch I was interested in buying ever came in. It didn’t amount to anything two+ years later but I still appreciated the gesture whereas other locations didn’t even bother.
In 2020, I visited the location two times looking for a gift for my fiancé (wedding was postponed for two years due to travel restrictions), as well as my mother for a different occasion. While a purchase had not been made, Sam assisted me both times with excellent customer service. Whether it was taking me from corner to corner of the store to provide ideas on potential gifts based on my responses to his inquiries, to answering any questions I had about each piece, and providing information about other pieces via email, he showed tremendous patience. I ended up going in a different direction for a gift as my fiancé was not in the country to try on the piece but I knew I would bring her back in to try on the pieces whenever she returned.
Fast forward to a couple weeks ago in October 2021, my fiancé is back in the country and we visited the store to try on a few pieces. I had worked with Mike and Sam to ultimately find the perfect necklace for my fiancé before our upcoming wedding that had been postponed for almost two years, and we couldn’t be happier!
