To begin, If you have natural hair this salon is definitely for you!! Since starting my journey I was referred to MIa and I keep coming back. It is a shame when other black women try to tear black women business owners down. Especially women that have no license, but apparently know it all. I have known Mia for years now. She works hard and always connects with her clients. People need to have patience and appreciation for those who work hard and always think about how their words can impact someone and there life. You would hope Covid taught us the importance of quality of life. When I go to a professional like Mia for my hair care, I trust the work she does and it shows in her passion. It is frustrating when people get upset about trivial foolishness and want to build a list to try and criticize instead of speaking directly with the person they have an issue with much less they HAVE easy access to discuss with. We need to respect one another especially when we have issues with someone who gives us the opportunity to speak with them. Mia is always quick to assist a client especially if the client had an issue.Unlike a lot of these corporate business who don’t care about their “CUSTOMERS/CONSUMERS and hire unqualified employees to attend to them. Isn’t that the reason people go to small businesses, so they don’t feel like just a number. My favorite thing about this salon is the vibe, it is beautifully designed and very relaxing. The customers engage with one another which is rare in the world we live in. It has a great pace nothing feels rushed and you get the quality and time needed. Experience it for yourself. On New Year’s Eve, I was looking for a place to wash and treat my hair. I was heading to the silk press upstairs but decided to stop by Mia Hair Care instead, and I'm so glad I did. When I arrived, the stylist was at the front desk and welcomed me warmly. Even though there were other clients present, she took the time to listen to my concerns and what I wanted to do with my hair. She assured me she could help and took me straight to the bowl to wash my hair.

The way she treated my hair was amazing. She explained everything in detail and recommended a treatment that worked wonders for me. I loved the results! The atmosphere was also wonderful—soft music and a relaxing waterfall in the background created a peaceful environment that helped me unwind. She even offered me coffee, which was a nice touch.

After washing, she went above and beyond with my hair—she did more than I expected, and I was so excited. I didn’t think she’d have time to do extra, but she took the time to make sure I was satisfied, which truly impressed me.

Despite being busy with other clients, she handled everything smoothly, and all the clients seemed happy with their results. The experience was made even more special by the Champagne and food offered for New Year's Eve. I left feeling pampered and special.
