( This is for Naomi H. and Managers ) As a college freshman, I’m constantly looking for places that feel like a break from campus life and cafeteria food. One night, I ended up at IHOP after a long day of classes and studying, and I can confidently say it was one of the best decisions I’ve made all semester. Not only was the food exactly what I needed, but the service from Naomi, who was my server, truly made the experience stand out.
From the moment I walked in, the restaurant felt warm and welcoming, and a lot of that had to do with how attentive and positive Naomi was. She had this energy that just made the whole dining experience better. Even though the place was busy, she managed to check on every table like it was her top priority. She didn’t just take orders—she actually cared, asking if everything was okay, offering recommendations, and making sure every detail was right. She’s the type of person who refills your drink before you even realize it’s empty and somehow remembers exactly how you wanted your food cooked without missing a beat.
Speaking of food, I ordered a classic plate of buttermilk pancakes with eggs, hash browns, and sausage, and it honestly hit the spot. IHOP has always been known for its pancakes, but when someone like Naomi is serving you, it somehow makes the meal taste better because the experience feels so smooth and stress-free. She was quick, efficient, and friendly in a way that didn’t feel fake it felt like she genuinely wanted everyone to enjoy their meal.
The thing that impressed me most was how she kept everything running so perfectly, even when things got hectic. You could see her balancing multiple tables, answering questions, and still making time to smile and check in. That kind of service is rare, especially when you’re used to being just another customer at most places. Naomi made it feel like I was being taken care of, which, as a college student far from home, means a lot.
This trip to IHOP was more than just grabbing some late-night pancakes it was a reminder of how much good service can elevate a meal. Naomi really stood out, and because of her, I’ll definitely be coming back to this location. If anyone’s looking for a place with great food and someone who truly cares about their guests, this IHOP is...
Read moreMe, my husband and my two boys were eating in this ihop around 1pm. We brought along the boys Autism Seizure Alert Service Dog. As he usually does he was under the table near the kids. All of the sudden at the same time a waitress named Glenesa Lee was passing by our table, the dog heard a baby crying and show his head. The waitress jump and screamed. We smiled and looked at her thinking she was going to smiled or laughed back, turning it up into something positive but that wasn’t the case. Loud, furious and in front of everybody (customers) she said “THAT IS NOT A SERVICE DOG!!!!! THAT IS NOT A SERVICE DOG!!!! That dog jump on me. THAT IS NOT A SERVICE DOG.” We were humiliated by her. It was disrespectful and against our sons rights. The state of mind she put me through made me demand to talk to the manager which is something I never had done before because I once was a waitress and I don’t play with nobody’s job. I believe the managers name was Gerald. I tried to explain the situation, what were my sons conditions and the dog’s tasks. While I was talking to him she continued to run her mouth. Basically, he didn’t do nothing. Through out the entire meal she continued working and giving us disrespectful and bad looks. He just asked us at the end of the meal if we were ok and that is it. We responded we were fine because it was clear he wasn’t going to do NOTHING so it was pointless to say anything else. If there are cameras it can show the truth. How come out of everyone passing by she was the only one? His short leash was tied to the table’s pole. It doesn’t make any sense. I even said to her that it’s ok if she was scared of dogs but it’s another thing to make such a disrespectful and insensitive statement. No parents should have to go through this. Less to discuss private health information in hopes to resolve and defend rights. Our waitress was THE BEST. I believe her name was Juli. If it wasn’t for her great service we were going to leave and...
Read moreLong post! If you go just know if your with Naomi your in good hands I can’t say about the others. Naomi was such a patient server and very sweet and that is the only reason I am adding stars. Luckily we are also patient and not aggressive because she doesn’t deserve to get mistreated. This message is for whoever is the manager you need to have a better staff in the kitchen I understand it gets busy and if you view my profile I have went to many I HOP’s this was by far the worst experience besides the one that gave me caffeinated coffee when I said no caffeine in New York. We were there for an hour in a half before we even got our food and when I went to eat my French Toast with strawberries and bananas it’s was cold. I was so hungry at this point I just wanted to have it microwaved but Naomi wanted to have it done over because she felt bad we waited so long and unfortunately I heard when the staff in the kitchen was yelling at her like if it was her fault when yet I heard her trying to explain she couldn’t even find the French Toast at first and probably that’s why it got cold. Well after yelling at her and having her and us wait 15 minutes later she comes back to apologize that they were not done yet, would I like it to go and I said no thank you because at this point we have been at a location for two hours and didn’t want to lose more time with such a beautiful day.
This is a facility that everyone likes to go to just because it’s IHOP but that doesn’t mean that customers should be treated like they are going to come either way. Honestly there are many location and a drive is not an issue but that would be a shame especially having a great server like Naomi. Naomi deserves to work at a location that is a safe space and not feel like it’s her fault when it’s not.
Management do better!!!!! Give more training to your staff. On a weekend have schedule based on staff not what you make so people want to come back not have a horrible...
