I'm giving this three stars because I know that multiple people work here, and I want to be fair to them. There was a gentleman at the checkout counter who was friendly and seated me promptly, hence the 3 stars. I will preface this by saying that the pedicurist perhaps didn't have bad intentions, but was rather comfortable at this location and with her job, so much so that she didn't pay attention to her own bad etiquette. This is probably my 4th visit to this salon, and the previous times it was not like this. Also, this salon has some incredibly vibrant and beautiful colors to choose from, it is why I came here today.
Today's pedicure I would rate as a zero, because it is the worst pedicure I have ever received anywhere. I came in early because I wanted a quiet space. I was assigned to seat two and the nail tech that was preparing to do my pedi was walking back and forth in a frantic manner, shouting instructions, waving her finger in another employee's face, and simultaneously hollering loudly on her cell phone. So loudly in fact that the echo was heard in the entire salon. She filled up my water a quarter of the way, cold water, and left. Still speaking on her phone. Came back a while later still on the phone. Politely tried to make small talk, adjusted my water then left another 100 times back and forth, all the while speaking loudly. I could see the gentleman at the front desk motioning his hand for her to quiet down. Again, she tried to be nice but the etiquette was zero. Then she proceeded to jab a tool beneath my toenail and start cutting. She kept repeating that it wasn't clean and needs cleaning, otherwise it will fall off, or something along those lines. When I say underneath my toe nail, I mean towards the bottom middle of my nailbed Again, she had good intentions, but this isn't how you go about doing a pedicure. My entire life I've had straight, intact toenails. I have some trauma to this toenail, from something hitting it. I told her I have a dr. Appointment to have it looked at. I prefer not to have anyone jabbing tools in this area because I don't want to exasparate the issue. But this isn't even the main problem. She asked what kind of pedicure I wanted and I initially said hot stone pedicure. I specifically came to the salon today to relax. She rushed through the pedicure and completely disregarded any massage or anything else. It was an awful experience. I go to the nail salon for a relaxing experience, not this. Hopefully she can do better with the next client. I still paid and tipped because I'd never dream of someone touching my feet and rendering a service without payment, but I will...
Read moreThe owner of this place show some underline racist tendencies. It is so shameful even the African Americans can’t see the underline racism. I have been to this place three and will never go back. I sat and watch the way she arrange her pedicure seating area by race. The first few seats from the front is selected for the Whites and Asians. I sat and I watch, when the African Americans enters, she direct her staff where to place then, which is always towards the back. When a White or Asia person enters they are seated close to the front. This is so sad because from sitting and observing most of her customers that walked in both times I was there are African American. I realize because she seem to be nice to the African Americans they don’t even realize the underline tendencies. I am not African American but sitting and observing I saw through it and shook my head in disgust.
The young lady in the front is rude and her attitude towards only the African American depict the treatment of the owner. I sat in the front while Waiting for my granddaughter and observe her nasty attitude. I watch in amazement as to how someone can treat anyone that support their business at such high percentage this way. African Americans need to stop patronizing her business until they are treated equally. I don’t see it from the staff, I see it from the owner, she set the tone for the staff and her business.
Very disappointing situation. I will not return and I will encourage anyone I know not to patronize her business. I really do hope if African Americans do read this take note of the underline tendencies when Patronizing...
Read moreCalled to schedule an appt. When I arrived, the person I scheduled with was not there. They stated "she forgot to tell the front she had to leave and run an errand." I asked for the owner and was told she is not here. After I say down tonwait for someone else to do my nails , I see the onwer sitting few chairs down doing someone s nails. I arrived at 3PM and left it 4:45pm. Owner "Lee" is not a help at all. The Customer service at this place has gone down tremendously over the years. At Check out they tried to over charge me. because. I wanted my nails "pointier" and thats extra. I have not changed my nails shape or done anything different this visit as any other in last 10 years. I showed my CC transaction s of last visits and paid what I typically havebeen paying in last decade. My nails cost $45 w $5 tip. $35 for SNS and $5 for cuticle. I have never heard of an upcharge for filing nails into a specific shape. Its not about the money in the end, but rather theack of disrespect and greed. Especially after "they" admitted to messing up my appointments. Not right at all. On another note, Tutu did a good job on my sns today, I typically see Sam or Jack whom I recommend. Just make sure to ask if there has been an price change or upcharge compared...
