I've been coming to Nail Tech and Spa for more than 10 years! They WERE very professional and focused on delivering good customer service in a clean environment. Unfortunately, that is no longer the case.

First, a while ago, there was a young girl working there and she demanded I tip in cash. I obliged and walked to the nearby ATM to give an appropriate tip. Another time, more recently, a technician asked if I could tip in cash. I gave her less than I would have had she charged my card because that was all the cash I had. If they don't want to accept credit/debit cards or want to place stipulations on paying with credit/debit cards, there should be signage. Also, my polish has been sloppily done. One time you could see how the second coat was not fully applied to the nail bed. They rush through my pedi and are preoccupied with other things.

During today's visit, my pedicure was interrupted by the technician answering a call and getting up to schedule someone else's appointment. Then again, when she walked someone to a back room for a service. Also, one of the utensils being used on my feet fell to the floor. After a minute, the technician picked it up and THOUGHT she was going to continue using it. I had to ask her to use another one because that had fallen on the floor. Then, she placed the now dirty utensil in the foot bath to clean it before continuing with my pedicure. Although I know the tablet they toss in kills bacteria, etc. I was still unhappy! The toddler walking around is cute and all, but she should be kept in the back or someone should be with her while customers are serviced in the store. They don't know the criminal backgrounds of their patrons - men and women can be sex offenders and child abusers.

I've said that I wouldn't come back, but kept giving other chances. Linda was my favorite and go to. However, I'm guessing she is no longer there as I haven't seen her in a while. I'm no longer enticed to return. I've visited other salons with better customer service, attention to detail, and a TRUE relaxing spa vibe AND experience - with better massage chairs and 1-on-1, uninterrupted pedicures. I should be the focus for the time I'm in that chair.

This is my last visit. I've already scouted other nail salons in the area and look forward to giving them my customer loyalty and patronage.

Suggestions for this business: Have a receptionist dedicated to answering the phones and/or greeting customers as they enter and exit (for payments). The technician should come and greet the patron before heading to their service station. The toddler should be in a back room with someone or in the waiting area with someone - not wandering through interacting with random guests. If you don't want tips or payment via credit cards, post signage saying so. Or, don't hound guests to tip in cash. Technicians should be focused on who is in their chair at that moment and should not disrupt their service to tend to someone else. Invest in those disposable bowl liners for pedicure stations. I’ve been coming here forever and it’s slowly gotten more stressful and janky. Like, four nails were bleeding when I left and I had to spend a dumb amount of time driving, waiting, and getting repairs.

I should’ve noticed that Nail Tech (Timonium) is actually always empty when I come in now, but I felt some dumb loyalty to the spot, and the services and treatment from several nail techs are so wildly rude it’s simply exhausting.

Enough staff have left this spot lately, including my regular fav, so I figured I’d try new techs. What a dummy. It’s quite simply no longer a place to get your nails done.

I legit left last night bleeding from 4 fingers.

And me being a former service worker, I tipped 20% both to the OG nail tech who initially made me bleed, and $5 to the tech who fixed my messed up nails from the original appointment. The way I actually feel so stupid for that.

Had to come back today to get my nails fixed, and initially the nail tech was kind. Then when I asked her to clean off the glue and gel from my skin and cuticle she got upset and impatient. I get it. It wasn’t her screwup, but dang. So now my one finger looks like she got painted in the dark.

And I wasn’t sure she would survive having to help me as I quietly sat there praying for it to be over and for her to stop treating me as a problem. Like, what are we actually doing here friends.

The only reason this is one star is because the manager. She gave me $20 off back from my $110 service.

No joke, Is this a Maryland thing? I’ve heard ppl talk about how horrible nail services can be in MD, but why am I bleeding so much. Why am I scabbed? This is wild.

Sadly, I would save yourself from this experience and don’t waste your time here.

Maybe the manager does great work, but even she told me to just put Neosporin on my bleeding nails before offering a solution. She was at least kind?

Fingers crossed that no one has this same experience. Hate to even leave this and if I can save anyone from this experience,...

I recently went back to Nail Tech to give them one last chance. I was told by the owner (presumably) that they knew how to take off powder polish. The technician buffed the top coat, and then pried off every bit of polish. I tried to discuss it with her but she didn’t respond. Perhaps she didn’t understand English but she could have had the courtesy to tell me that and get someone who could answer me. Instead she just went on with what she was doing and talked to a nearby coworker, as if she couldn’t hear me. She did a lousy job of trimming after the polish was off. She obviously couldn’t get me out of there quickly enough, and I was glad to leave. I checked afterwards and have found out that this was absolutely not the proper way to take off...

had an absolutely wonderful experience with my pedicure today! From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed and relaxed. The technician was incredibly attentive, gentle, and meticulous, taking great care to ensure every detail was perfect. My feet feel so soft and refreshed, and the polish looks stunning — smooth, vibrant, and flawlessly applied. I truly appreciated the extra touches, like the soothing foot massage and the relaxing atmosphere. It was a perfect little escape from my busy day. I couldn’t be happier with the results and will definitely be coming back. Highly recommend to anyone looking to treat themselves to a top-quality pedicure!

Love this nail salon! Owned by Ann and Richard. Customer service is top tier, and they make sure on top of the quality service they provide, they always aim for perfection. They will treat you like family, take their time to understand your specific needs, and strawberry on cake, complimentary wine/beverages and snacks. Never will I go anywhere else. Oh yea Ann’s a beast with designs. She does it all
