Nicole's House of Beauty — Attraction in Petersburg

First and far most I am new to the DMV area so was looking for a nice vibe for self care as I often treat myself to these moments back home. I was referred to Nicole’s by a family member that had frequent the business. I made an appt for a facial at 2pm on 06/22/24 and a 60 min deep tissue massage following. I arrived at 1:55 pm and was immediately checked in and seated by a nice gentleman who left right after. Deja was doing a pedicure and Monique was on a personal phone call in the nail area… neither greeted me AT ALL. I proceeded to sit and scroll on my phone in the waiting area watching them both continue on the phone and finishing the pedicure until 2:20 when Deja comes over to me and introduces herself and ask if this was my first facial and lets me know she will be doing my facial. I then reply this is my first time here period. At which this time two other ladies walks into the salon and Deja walks away and proceeds to tell the other two ladies about the different services. They exit the salon and Deja returns to me at 2:30 now and hands me 3 forms to fill out front and back and tells me to fill these out for her and she proceeds to finish the pedicure she was doing. Monique still on her phone call. At this time I asked why wasn’t These forms that will take me approximately 10-15 more minutes to fill out given to me when I arrived for my 2:00 appt 30 minutes ago and it is now 235 and I still have not gotten any services nor filled out forms and she is still performing a pedicure. She asked if I wanted to reschedule as I asked if I needed to. I then advised no, not interested in rescheduling if this is the way customers are treated. I would not say that the establishment is not a good establishment to visit, but I would definitely say the staff need to be reevaluated on their customer service skills. I did hear that the owner would not be back for a couple days so maybe that is why the service was very much on a low scale. I don’t know if I will return. Nikki, the receptionist greets me with a warm smile each time and assists me with any and everything I may need/want. Monique, the nail technician has provided grand, detailed and precise nail service. Savannah, the esthetician guided me through my first eyebrow lamination appointment with her expertise and bubbly personality. Last but not certainly least, Ashley has a breathtaking touch as a masseuse. She provided a relaxed, decompressing and thorough deep tissue massage. I have had all great experiences with NHOSB. So for my birthday I decided to do a little self care. I scheduled an appointment for a facial and eyebrows. Being that I was a new customer/client I arrived a little early. I was greeted (dont remember her name) and was offered water/wine. The ambiance is so relaxing. I was greeted by Nicole who was rendering the services and apologized for her delay(she also does have next door...completely was fine). Took me upstairs to a very nice sized room. The facial was amazing. Nicole explained what she was doing, what products she was using and what the product does for the skin. I could have laid there longer to get a massage.
