People this is not something scary. It’s a room full of tools, secrets and hints that you have to solve to go into the next room (usually around 3 rooms) until you solve quest. I have had so many people tell me they’re afraid to go. I was a little my first time too but there r no actors!
Newest edit: After returning with our vouchers we tried the zombie room. It was a really great room! There was all new staff. Our game master was Zee. She was beyond awesome and really got into character as she took us back to the room, we called in a few times and she also helped us.
We came back another time on a double date and did the prisoner room and had a great time too! So happy, well definitely be back. Thank you for being so responsive Paranoia Quest.
Edit: I’ve been in contact with them via email. They are going to give us two free tickets to redo room. Will post update as soon as I can. But so far they’ve been very friendly. I’m hoping it was just a bad expirence.
OG post: My husband and I have always wanted to try an escape room. On Jan 12, we were out on date night, without our kids, we stopped by here. There were two young boys working. The young man with colored hair and black nail polish set up up in the witch hunter room. My husband and I were off to a good start. In the first room the ax didn’t work and cost us a lot of time because it a special key to opening the door. Then we got through to the second room and the magnet ball which was supposed to open the desk drawer came out, we thought it was supposed to as many prices are magnetic, my husband put it in a hole, which it wasn’t supposed to go in but fit perfectly. We called to ask for help the boys informed us that some teenagers were previously in the room and broke it. We attempted to get the ball out but it didn’t come out. That was the final piece we needed to go to the next room. It delayed us a good while. After the two boys working couldn’t get it out, they said they would pause the time and go look for another magnet ball to reset the desk. They never came back and then the timer dropped down like 20 min. Then the timer stopped. My husband and I were waiting in the room for them to bring the magnet ball like they said they would. They returned and were surprised we were there 10 after the timer was off. We told them we had been waiting for them to return with the ball, which they replied they couldn’t find one. We paid $70 something for two to do the room in an hour. They weren’t sympathetic at all and gave us these cards to review them on google and handwrote “1/2 Witch Hunter” I told them I felt that wasn’t fair to have to pay another $30 to complete the room that they admitted many times malfunctioned. They really didn’t seem to care. A week later, before writing a review I called and told them I wanted to talk to them about my expirience before writing a review. I called in and asked for a manger and the guy said “I’m your next best thing” I said okay and explained my expirence and frustration with having to pay another $30 when the room didn’t work correctly. They guy on the phone replied with he remembered us and was the one who set us with. The colored hair guy, he said his name was Emmanuel. Again he was not sympathetic nor saw anything wrong with the situation other than if you want to complete the room bring the cards and we can give it to you half off. I told him I wasn’t satisfied with that answer. He said he’d call the owner and ask for an exception to redo the room, but highly doubted the owner would grant it. I asked when he’d have an answer back from the owner and he said within the hour, and he said he’d call and let me know. It’s been 2-3 weeks I’m still waiting for my cal back. I’ve talked it over with my husband well give them another try, because they have a lot of good reviews, but I’m very dissatisfied. We live around the corner and would love to have others visit us and take them here. Other than all that, the expirence was nice, it was fun to discover the clues and the room was very high end looking, it...
Read moreI don't consider myself an expert when it comes to escape games, I just love doing them and I have about 20 under my belt. I am trying to find immersive environments, challenging puzzles, and cool interactions. I do believe that Paranoia Quest delivers this.
My group did the Witch Hunter experience and we were blown away by the set design upon walking into the first area of the Witch Hunt. The audio and visuals that we were seeing were very awesome and extremely immersive. The puzzles were unique compared to the experiences at other Escape Games that I have participated in and very interactive. We unfortunately didn't escape, but that happens. Awesome experience and will do other rooms.
Why the 4 stars?
The day of our game was on a Thursday at 7:15PM. We walk into the building and are greeted and taken care of, we begin on time. I have seen many clue systems ranging from help on monitors to walkie-talkies. This one uses a wireless house phone intercom system that calls back to the base station.
While we were being introduced to our scenario, one of the other phones rang and the gamemaster, Mr. Baker, continued giving us the introduction, but this hinted that another group was asking for help and they were essentially put on hold while he helped us into our game.
Everything transitioned smoothly after that and we got to a portion of the game where a pickaxe that was not supposed to be loose, was not screwed into the wall(we found out that a previous group must have pulled it out of the wall) and we did not know if it was part of the game. We called the game master after about 2 minutes of waking around with a 3 foot sharp pickaxe gently prying at locked doors and boxes trying to figure out what to do with it, and asked if it was supposed to detach from the wall. He promptly entered the room, placed it back into the wall and completed the puzzle for us. This made it seem as though we were only lightly being monitored because if that was our first game, we could have easily have broken their puzzles or doors not knowing that it wasn't part of the game.
Fast forward----We had a couple of other issues, but pretty small in comparison. The room wasn't reset exactly correct and a magnetic puzzle piece was thought to be reset, but it was sticking to the magnet holder instead of its reset location. (This happens but ultimately did lose some time on it because we couldn't figure out what to do with the empty puzzle. After calling, explaining, having him come in again, it was reset and he promptly apologized giving us some time back.) We also found drill bits (not part of the game) just lying on a "table" in front of us in the last room.
When asking for clues, you might have to be prepared to explain where you are in the game because, at least in our experience, they can potentially be short staffed and busy trying to game master multiple rooms with issues potentially arising making them have to step away from the computer to help other groups.
This is at no fault to the game master however.
Mr. Baker was extremely pleasant, fun to talk to, share escape game experiences, getting us excited for the room in the pre-game and helping us along after the game. Awesome guy and would love to have him gamemaster again.

!!!!!!EDIT UPDATE!!!!!! So because I enjoyed the staff and the puzzles so much, I decided to bring a friend and enjoy another experience at Paranoia Quest. This time there was enough staff to accommodate multiple groups and everything went well and smoothly. We didn't have to explain when we asked for clues, and at any point we were being monitored and taken care of immediately. Great fun and awesome rooms.

Read moreMy coworkers and I wanted to do an Escape Room together and chose Paranoia Quest due to the positive reviews. Unfortunately, we did not have a positive experience. There were numerous mishaps while we were there. In one of the rooms, we had to insert a fuse in to an electrical box in order to turn the lights. The fuse would not work, the 'explorer' came to assist us and he could not get it to work either - even with multiple fuses. So we carried on, trying to solve the puzzles of this room with our cellphone lights. Then, a main cabinet door was jammed shut, so even though we carried out the proper methods to solve this clue - it wouldn't open and again we had to request assistance. The 'explorer' and manager had to forcefully open the cabinet due to it being jammed shut. We then moved to the next (and last) portion of the room. We solved all of the clues in this room, but we were still missing 1 main component to unlock the door. All of sudden, this last piece came sliding down the slide, coming from the previous room we were in. Apparently, it was in the jammed shut cabinet and since we didn't open it, we didn't see it in there. When the staff realized that was what we were missing (by seeing on cameras), they ran into the previous room, retrieved it, and tossed it into the room we were in.
When we asked to speak to a manager/someone about getting our money back, we were told that isn't possible and we could send an email to the support email. All in all, we had some good laughs about everything going wrong and we maintained a good sense of humor about everything. But if you are wanting to take this seriously, I would not recommend going to this facility. Especially for the overall cost, it should not have had that many mishaps. I don't think it was in anyway the employees' fault, I think it is the owner. It appears this place was sloppily thrown together and then the owner hired staff to run it, while they had nothing to do with managing it efficiently. I highly doubt this place will be in business long-term. I've been to other Escape Rooms and never had an experience...
