Used to like this place even though the chain is a little on the expensive side. I'm from up north so I love a good pizza. Unfortunately this was the closest I could get to a New York pizza in Georgia.
Been a customer for years until recently when I ordered a large pizza to go. I found it odd that the staff member wanted to give me a display pizza instead of making a fresh one like they usually do. With the pandemic going on and business dropping for a lot of places I assumed it was just to avoid food waste and obliged. UNTIL THEY RUNG IT UP AS INDIVIDUAL SLICES, COSTING ALMOST TWICE AS MUCH AS A FULL PIE! It didn't help that the cashier had an attitude about it when I asked about the sudden price jump.
Apparently they can't sell full pies if they have been sitting out (the ones they usually pull slices from and reheat in the oven), and therefore must be sold as individual slices. I didn't know this, nor was I told this until AFTER they rung me up. Let it be known, the display was a full pizza and had no slices removed. Also, they DO sell full pizzas and it's even on the menu hanging overhead. For whatever reason, even though I specifically ordered a large, they did this foolishness instead.
Since they handled the food and it didn't end up being purchased, I'm assuming it had to be thrown out. Which is absurd, imo. I didn't want a discount, any special order, just a plain cheese pizza and was fully prepared to pay for it even though they are easily twice as expensive as most pizza...
Read moreI came to the mall with my family. We stopped at Sbarro because my boys wanted pizza. The quality of our food was great. But there were 6 people standing in line and it took us 30 minutes for all of us to order and get through the process. The staff moved with no sense of urgency and took a long time. Also seemed like they didn't want to help each other out as a team. The gentlemen at the cash register was running back and forth to grab ice, make drinks and do everything else, but again and with no sense of urgency. No one behind the counter greeted anyone with any sort of spirit or pleasure to help. It was, "what do you want" I politely asked for my food. What I should have said is for all of you to get a grip and take some pride in your jobs. Management should teach them about what urgency and a warm greeting does to a business to increase it's sales. Funny enough they are next to Chick-fil-A - maybe they should watch and learn since they seem to have the time. At least the quality of the...
Read moreI work at Petland and having the upwards of 4000 peoples worth of foot traffic coming into the store gets super stressful. So pizza is a great way for a poor 21 year old college student to to make light of a stressful shift. I go there all the time because the workers are always so kind on top of being the cheapest thing in the food court and the fastest lines. Welp today I started my day with 25$ in my account...woo... So I go over there to get lunch at 6 in the evening and being the only thing I eat that day and my card is declined. I check my account and my student loan “keep in touch” bill had gone through so I had 7$ left until Friday. I was going to take a slice off but one of the workers came up and paid for it for me. I couldn’t believe how kind he was for that. I’m literallt just so surprised at how kind he was I’m crying at this. I’ve had a rough week and that literally made it. The workers there are some of the kindest, coolest people and this place really...
