I give this place 2 out of 5 stars for a particular reason, Two stars: one for the quality of seating, and the other for ease of access and purchase of tickets, they missed out on the additional 3 stars for the reasons as observed during my visit with my son; number 1: Staff Members were clearly not interested in performing any efforts to assist patrons, very disorganized lines, ticket agents were practically staring off into space, apparently daydreaming or anticipating their end of shift, literally no eye contact at all nor supervision of attendees present (you could practically walk on in without being noticed, this concerned me regarding in the event of an emergency as I wondered how long before staff took notice of such a thing amongst the cluster of attendees moving in and out in droves like herds, again no line formation nor active surveillance and engagement with the patrons), number 2: If I am paying for a service and it is expected and implied that basic courtesy and respect is expected from all attendees viewing a movie why is there no staff to supervise those who are unruly and aggressive as well as tossing food and yelling during a showing, since when are there no ushers standing by in attendance to help anyone in need and to ensure safety and respect is maintained, you could practically pirate the entire movie, get in a fight, vandalize the theater room and walk away without any consequences, and lastly number 3: the staff seems to be unsupervised and any “management” present was not seen in any way and if they were present then they were just another face among the faces of young adolescents who are more interested in talking with their coworkers about random things than being engaged and focusing on providing service in an appropriate and efficient way. I had to wave in front of someone’s face to get them to notice me as I was in front of the line waiting for one of the two employees to notice me and when they did attend me i had to repeat myself as they still kept their conversation going not hearing what I was saying to them. Again no eye contact at all while the transaction was being processed. No greeting, no proper communication or customer service, the only positive was the theater room was decent enough to qualify as being clean and the restrooms were clean as well surprisingly but that doesn’t require any interaction with the public as cleaning a toilet or theater room is usually done when it’s been vacated by the public.
Overall the sound quality was excellent The projection was clear and crisp, floor was clean until younger patrons thought throwing popcorn and soda was a epic comedic act, I get it, I was young and annoying once upon a time, kids will be kids, but seriously if there is no one to enforce a code of ethics and rules then only chaos and anarchy will happen to rise in abundance.
My advice, try hiring a few more employees who are interested in being involved and who take pride in their work, no matter what job you do, if you don’t give 100% then your clearly in the...

Update: it seems this place may have listened to critiques. The service was on-par with only a 5 minute wait for concessions, the bathrooms were pristine, and the customer service was super friendly. If I come back again with similar experience as last, I will definitely give it the 5 stars it deserves. Not sure if a one-off experience, so will hold out for next visit. Great job Regal!

This place is awesome — but only because it’s brand new!
3 stars because the staff are… nowhere to be found, or even worst, they are to be found but just standing around doing nothing to help. It’s not uncommon to wait MORE Than 15 min to get concessions when there’s literally Many staff just sitting there doing absolutely nothing but being on phone or talking. At any point they could offer to help, but they don’t. So get there early if you want snacks! That’s so weird to me— because isn’t that how theaters make most of their money?!
Multiple times we’ve been here and it’s a MESS. Literally popcorn/trash all over the floors and disgusting, I mean disgusting bathrooms. Such a shame for a new theater!
If I was the owner I would fire everyone and hire again for disrespecting such a beautiful remodel and property.
I say that — because the management is part of the problem — I see them standing around literally cracking jokes with employees while waiting 15 min for food with a disgusting atmosphere— it’s rude and disrespectful to the company to be so checked out. Go get another job if you can’t respect this one. If you have high anxiety/BP don’t come here— it’s beyond frustrating experience.
Such a shame honestly! Oh well— we go to the Dania point location with the exact same remodel minus the terrible staff and it’s CLEAN.
My gf says she wants to vomit every time she uses the restroom at Kendall location… such a shame.
If they could get the concessions down to a reasonable 5 min wait + clean facilities =...
Read moreI’ve been going to this regals for years and i guess the changes they’ve made have resulted in a bitter and angry staff. Never had an experience like i did yesterday at regals.
I arrived for my 8:30 movie and my girlfriend and I wanted to get some drinks. The bar seemed to be closing but the bartender was there so i asked if it was closed. His snapped at me “yeah i’ve been here since 12 and my shift is over so im going home” I told him he didnt have to be so aggressive im just asking a question. He says “im not being aggressive. Im the only bartender and my shift is done so im going home.” I tell him maybe he isn’t being aggressive but he’s definitely being rude. I say im going to talk to a manager. As im leaving he shouts something at me that i dont hear.
Minutes later his manager is closing him out so i go back to tell him i want my money back due to the employees attitude and i want to also complain. The employee in question, who is standing right behind him, starts getting angry and cursing at me.
I’ve been in the service industry, i would never talk to a customer like that. For him to double down and act like that is crazy. Its the exact reason i wanted to complain.
As the manager is giving me my money back i ask how i can make a formal complaint and he gives me the GM’s name, neville. But not before telling me that it was both our faults. His for acting that way, and mine for saying i wanted to complain about the way he was acting in front of him.
Employees and clearly management there have a serious attitude problem. I understand wanting to side with your employees but that bartender was completely in the wrong. The situation never happens if he doesnt...
