My recent visit to Bocas Grill Kendall was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was warm and welcoming, setting the perfect tone for a memorable dining experience.
Food: 5/5 The menu at Bocas Grill is a delightful fusion of Latin flavors, and every dish we tried was a testament to their culinary expertise. We started with the Arepas, which were perfectly crispy on the outside and wonderfully soft inside. The highlight of our meal was the Parrilla Bocas, a mixed grill platter that included a variety of meats cooked to perfection. Each bite was flavorful and tender, showcasing the high quality of ingredients used. The sides, particularly the yuca fries and plantains, complemented the main dishes beautifully. For dessert, the Nutella milkshake was an indulgent treat that ended our meal on a high note.
Service: 5/5 The service at Bocas Grill Kendall was impeccable, thanks to our wonderful servers Ariana and Juliana. Both were attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly, making excellent recommendations and ensuring our glasses were never empty. Their attention to detail and genuine hospitality made us feel valued and well taken care of throughout our visit.
Ambiance: 5/5 The restaurant’s decor is vibrant and modern, creating a lively yet comfortable atmosphere. It’s a great spot for both family gatherings and casual outings with friends. The music was upbeat but not overwhelming, adding to the overall pleasant dining experience.
Overall: 5/5 Bocas Grill Kendall exceeded our expectations in every way. The combination of delicious food, exceptional service from Ariana and Juliana, and a welcoming atmosphere makes it a standout choice for anyone looking to enjoy a fantastic meal. We will definitely be returning soon and highly recommend...
Read moreThe food is absolutely delicious. I have no complaints about the food. I first saw their picture postings on Instagram and, like a fatty, had to indulge on their deliciousness. The milkshake is exactly as I expected. We ordered arepas as an appetizer, fried rice with two steak and chicken, tostones with lomo salteado, and the dulce de leche milkshake. The arepas were fresh and HOT so be careful when you take your first bite. The fried rice does contain sesame seeds and is cooked with sesame oil. While the tostones con lomo salteado was delicious, the tostones somewhat tasted like the ones you buy in the frozen isle (but I eat alot of tostones alot, some people may not taste the difference) and it does become soggy from the meat sauce. It also has alot of cheese! So keep this in mind if you cannot have too much cheese. The place is quite small for the traffic that comes in. I came on a Saturday night and we had to sit at the bar to not wait overly long. At the bar we were sat right away. Honestly, I preferred the bar (aside from the stools not having back support) because it was more private than the other tables. They could revamp the bathrooms, the women's bathroom had a hole on the wall but nothing that would prevent you from using their bathroom and washing your hands to get down to business. However, for how crowded the restaurant gets, there is only 1 toilet for each sex. The food did not take too long to be served (although, frankly, I was entertained by trying to decide which shake to order). Parking is easy to find and free as it's in a plaza parking lot right. It is located across the street from Bahama Breeze on Kendall and 122nd, the plaza where Ulta is located. For 2 people, we spent $60 but we also...
Read moreFor my first time trying a "Bocas Grill" it really didn't go as bad as I thought. I assumed the portions would be small and overpriced as SOME-maybe lunch-pictures suggested but they're far from it. The dinner portion I ordered was really a nice size and say you don't like one of the sides you have their menu has a nice list of sides you can substitute for. My original plan was to eat elsewhere and just come to Bocas for a dessert but I'm glad I stayed. Both the beers, & food are reasonably priced. My glass of water kept full and the place is BIG on cleanliness. I also timed them from when I placed my order-no appetizers-till the time I was served and it took them about 25 minutes, I did this on purpose. After I enjoyed the meal I ordered a dulce de leche dessert milkshake and it was DELICIOUS. I was surprised that the two discs on it with ice cream in between were rolls of churros. I happened to look across from my seat and noticed nothing but happy satisfied customers and as I was looking around I locked eyes briefly with the manager. He was standing ready in the midst of everything to serve anyone. This establishment is very well managed and you can just tell from the moment your greeted till the moment you leave that they take their work serious all the while enjoying what they do. Excellent Staff- the smiles, their will to serve you in any way shape or form even for a picture. Excellent Cooks- Delicious meals. Excellent Manager-on point. YOU NEED SOME OF THIS. Check out the pics I took...
