ReGen — Attraction in Towson

I am from out of town, roughly 13 hours from this town. But going in on my vacation, I got a Virtual Boy system. The man who I believe was one of the owners allowed me to test it and reassured me that he fixed the system. While the system itself had issues a night or so after purchase, this is more the system than the store. I cant stress it enough, these game consols themselves upon their own release date, have had these issues, avoiding them is nearly impossible even with repairs. These systems are extremely fragile and tedious. Upon calling, the clerk did his damned best to help me get this thing working the best it could. Even offered to get it mailed there and fixed. Next level customer service right there. Got it home, cleaned it and worked great turned out it was dust in the pin connectors I needed my tools to get cleaned. Sadly, as most Virtual boys do, it had visual problems and is still to this day in a box in my game room, waiting to be repaired. Got a replacement but I still have the one from the store that just needs a minor repair. This store knows their repairs and does their damn best to get a busted system working and they do with fantastic results. Their customer service is top notch, a great and friendly staff who will make you feel like you are not only a customer, but a friend. I was in search of a place that would repair a scratched disc for me. I had a DVR disc that my father made from an old VHS video he recorded in 1990. He had it done a week before he went into hospice and passed away, so unfortunately he never got a chance to watch it with me. After years passed, I stumbled across it, but the disc was horribly scratched up and wouldn’t play. I was devastated.

I called around and was recommend ReGen by a local repair disc shop. I arrived to ReGen and was informed that they may not be able to get the scratch completely out, but will try their best. The staff was very friendly and I looked around the store while waiting for my disc to be repaired.

The gentlemen who assisted me, finished my disc, and I immediately went home to test it out. The disc worked! I broke down in tears so happy that I was able to get these memories uploaded to my icloud.

bought a nes from them, drove over 40 minutes to see what this store had to offer. Very disappointing the amount of repro items they have, not all clearly labeled as such. Even still selling repros of uncommon to rare games without it being clearly labeled is pretty scummy.(Wouldn't be surprised if they don't even know they are selling reproductions how terrible this store seems to be.) The nes I bought had also been poorly refurbished, without them even telling me it was refurbished to begin with. Tried to open it up to see what they did to the poor thing. But one of the screws has been stripped from there poor refurbishment. I would have loved to return it but couldn't get around to it within the window they give. I live 40 minutes away. Spent 80 dollars on a nes with a bad refurb job. Overall pretty scummy store that doesn't inform there customers and sells counterfeit items. Thanks RE:GEN for ruining the hobby one...
