Skinjectables Anti-Aging Bar — Attraction in Tucson

I figured I would give Skinjectables a try since my regular place did not have any available "right, then and there." First off, I did not call, I simply went to their website that was fully functional on a smart phone and computer. I pursued through their site and finally decided to schedule. Yup! You guessed it, no phone call either- I just registered online and was able to make a same day appointment later that afternoon. This definitely earned them the third star. I received a text alert about an hour before my actual appointment as a reminder as well as who my appointment was scheduled with (I got Alisa...on-line you can select whoever you want), which was definitely a great perk!

I walked in about 15 minutes prior to my appointment time and was greeted by two females who were on the other side of the "bar." It was a beautiful place that totally made you feel as though you live the luxe life. I let them know who I was and what I was there for. They provided me with a clipboard, pen and a few papers (no more that 2 pages, I think). After quickly reviewing my paperwork, Alisa took me back to a beautiful little "cove" using a large wall-sized mirror as a divider to what I can assume was another beautifully decorated "cove." Anyhow, she asked me what I wanted and I told her: "my glabella and above each of my brows for a bit of a lift." She analyzed me as I scrunched my face and recommended 65 units. I have a history only receiving 40 unit, so that is what we settled on. I was pleased that she did not try to pressure me into getting more. We spoke briefly about lip injections and the cost...I'm too scared to get those done. I also inquired about obtaining Latisse (eye lash growth serum) and I decided on that. Anyway, she proceeded with my Dysport injections and after a few minutes it was all over and done with. My forehead was really sore and so were the tops of my eyebrows. I have never been that sore before. The soreness lasted for about 72 hours. At around this 72 hour mark, I also saw the results (see my pic).

Reasoning for the 3 stars was because I was expecting a different type of encounter based on their website: "Our clinical experts take great care to ensure your comfort. Dysport is delivered by way of tiny micro injections so that discomfort is minimal, especially when utilizing our custom soft-filled ice packs. When requested, we are please to provide our patients a topical numbing agent to reduce pain at the site of injection although without it most patients tell us they felt only minor discomfort, if any, during the procedure."

1. No soft-filled ice packs were offered or even observed. At my regular place, they provide a soft-filled ice pack at the beginning and end of the short procedure.
2. Topical numbing agent may have been nice, especially in the glabella area, had I known it could it was an option- perhaps signage would be help.

Overall, I can't say I won't be back because that would be a lie. I will be back at least one more time to see if my experience is different. Second chances matter and this place is uber convenient...

The prices you can’t beat. However… the women here are rude and catty. They’re just kind of mean. I’ve gotten filler a few times in my lips & I’ve gotten Jaw Botox to treat TMJ. They incorrectly injected the filler AND the Jaw Botox. I decided to go elsewhere and during my consultation the woman confirmed both were incorrectly injected. At Skinjectables, they injected my Jaw Botox like regular Botox… barely under the skin. Jaw Botox is to be injected deep in the jaw muscle.. not skin deep. The last time I got lip filler at Skinjectables I could immediately tell it was injected wrong. It appeared completely migrated. The injector could tell too! She told me to “come back if it didn’t improve.” I never went back. I am literally afraid of returning for anything because it’s my FACE. The ladies here rush you in and rush you out. It’s not a fun experience. If you’re a pretty woman they treat you badly. It’s really as simple as that. I wish I could leave a 5 star review but these ladies here really just do not know what they’re doing.

EDIT: Of course even the response from the owner is rude.. why did I expect anything but? In answer to the response— absolutely, positively not correct about the jaw Botox. I don’t have the slightest idea what you’re even referring to as far as not wanting my jaw line to be slimmed.. the Botox wasn’t injected into the muscle. Therefore it did not paralyze the muscle 😁.. I would have been absolutely THRILLED if my jawline had slimmed down! Additionally.. what exactly do you mean by “that we thoroughly discussed”? I wrote this comment under a fictitious name. & I can assure you.. there was no “thorough” conversation. Thank you for solidifying my comment.. regarding staff (the fabulous owner) & also creating an entire fantasy story! I have spoke with many people that have the same opinion. Women should support women. Not be a catty disaster well into your 30’s and up. Do better....

I just had my second cool sculpting treatment with Karina today and I couldn’t be more pleased with her knowledge, professionalism and care! I do have a tendency to faint and sure enough, despite the low level of discomfort I almost passed out after the massage part of the process. It’s just my body’s reaction to being “off”. I asked her for some cool towels or something and she raced out and returned with an ice pack and additional assistance, I believe an RN came in and some other people. They got me laying down with legs elevated, someone was fanning me and someone else brought in some candy to suck on. I started feeling better and we went on to round two. The second time I had no problems. With today’s treatment Karina was ready for me with candies on the table, ice packs etc. she brought me nice fluffy blankets to keep warm, fetched me more water, fanned me off when I was feeling a little “dizzy”, supplied me with rubbing alcohol to sniff. She stayed in the room with me until she was 100% certain I was feeling ok and comfortable with her leaving. There was no request she would have denied me. She told me to take all the time I needed before we started round two. She’s a very caring person. She also gave me a free consult before I made the appointment to confirm I was a good candidate, answer any questions I had and discuss payment. She explained to me exactly what she would do and how many treatments she thought I would need. I did see results after the first treatment and can’t wait to see the final results after the second. Additionally, the salon is beautiful and relaxing. They have highly competitive pricing. I highly recommend Skinjectables...
