DO NOT COME HERE if you value your safety or property. Plus BUGS! Booked online for 3 days. First impressions are everything and mine was spot on. First off the place is in a run down area of Orlando. The fencing, security guard box and what was obviously a "hotel" being run as long term section 8 housing should have turned me around. But no, I figured I'm a CCH, former armed officer and I don't plan on being here other then a head on pillow...plus don't judge book by cover. I even paid for an extra day out of convince (at higher rate then my online booking!) I regretted it immediately. First day I leave for Sea World with my daughter, we come back and my room door is open, just a crack. I know for fact I closed and locked it. I go up and clear the room for intruders. All seems OK, it appears cleaning crew came and left the room unlocked and open (inside job setup?). Fortunately I keep all valuables locked in car when I leave hotels. I go to complain to Manager, I'm told I have to wait for Gen Manager, they cant do anything, but will leave him message. I ask them to not send house keeping to my room for remainder of stay. We spend the night with bugs in kitchen. Morning, and manager still not there. Go out again, come back evening and speak to Gen. Manager. He is not there but Manager on duty says he knows nothing about it. I explain how upset I am, that my property and safety was effected by this and how it could be a thieving ring at his hotel. He says HE NEEDS TO CHECK THE VIDEO! Are you kidding me?! Fine. I pass all the obvious Section 8 rooms, through the smell of pot in varies locations, and get to my room. It's locked but cleaning crew was there again after I ask not to. More bugs that night. Next day speak to Gen Manager, again no clue, I explain the situation he then looks up video and info left about situation. He wont deny that his staff F'd up but when I ask for a comp for some time on the room, he refuses. I ask if he'll do anything for me for the aggravation and safety issues that happen at his hotel. He refuses to do anything! In fact he turns his back on me while I'm calmly talking to him and he basically says if I don't like it I can leave. This guy obviously doesn't care about his "hotel" guest because he is making his money on the Government Cheese for Sec 8 housing. I know, I've seen these set ups before as a private hire armed officer. Now I'm furious. I walk out. There is no Hotels available and its just one more overnight at this hell hole. I leave it be and resolve to NEVER frequent this place again. I suggest you do the same. NEVER NEVER STAY AT...
Read moreStraight off, this is less a hotel and more of a tenement housing project. I lived here for over a year as a last resort. The only positive thing I can say about Sunstyles is that it's easy to get in to. The room was outdated. All the furniture and walls have been painted over dozens of times with no attention to detail. The carpet is thin and cheap. The microwave in the room was old and had rust inside of it. The kitchen cabinets were disgusting. I spent over two hours removing layers of old grease and roach carcasses from the top and insides. Speaking of roaches, the place is infested with them. It doesn't matter how much you clean or spray, they will be everywhere! The staff doesn't care about you at all. They make up bs excuses to come in your room to snoop around. The WiFi is a joke. It's not working far more than it is operational. When it is working, it's slow as molasses. The guest wash room is usually filthy. Half the washers and dryers don't work. They leave residue all over your clothes too. Drugs and alcohol are everywhere. Pot is all you can smell when you walk down the hallway. My room reeked of it and I don't even smoke weed! There are groups of kids that roam around raising hell at all hours despite the joke of a curfew. There are people fighting and partying at all hours. Security is also a joke. Half the time, they're hanging out in the "guardshack" making time with hookers and bs'ing with the drug dealers that hang out in front of the hotel. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this place to stay, especially if you are a tourist or travelling with family. If you have no other options, it's somewhere to stay and it beats...
Read more. The Good-It's Orlando and enjoyed the weather difference..the price..One of the cleanest hotels i've stayed in nationwide and i've been in rooms all over the country due to where my family lives (Orlando has outrageous deposit fees) and the front desk was understanding and that's where it ends The Bad-The location (Drug Dealers dangling at the nearby Family Dollar that is walking distance)..Front Desk person did not apologize for us having to call him because he was not available to check us in...The Housekeepers eyed me and my Mom's things because we are from another region..I am so glad everything was still there when we got back..We needed a convenient location because we needed to go to multiple places on our trip and it felt odd at night and in the morning..We also had crawling special guests coming in at the end of the stay and Mr. And Ms. Roach we're not invited to our vacation..We are a Mother and Daughter with a very interesting life at home and it makes us dress a certain way but I didn't like how everyone was looking at us (Regional difference perhaps)..Also the tv was horrific and the picture quality was horrible..the shower was tiny and the water pressure was weak.. The Ugly-I have a name concern due to my hospital putting a different last name on my birth certificate then my parents desired but I had proper id but I prepaid and all proper documantation..Im surprised the cops we're not called because he took that extremely too seriously...Please don't stay in...
