I don’t know about other locations but can’t be worst than this one . The prices are outrageous. $9 for shirts . You can find brand new at dd discount or marshals . The fitting rooms are gone . So you can’t try the clothes but they don’t do refunds either . They offer exchange for textile only and just within 3 days !! A pair of pants $24.99 . I asked the cashier if they don’t fit what can I do ? ,, You don’t loose the money , you exchange for something else “ Yea , I have 3 days to return and get things that I don’t need just so I don’t loose completely. I used to buy books . The book section is almost gone . The same with furniture . Is not profitable to use the space for large items , they put clothes instead . A lot of reviews mention lack of customer service . I can understand their reasons . They are underpaid for the amount of work required , I never see twice any clerk or cashier . They all quit . They don’t want to pay better to compensate for horrible conditions the staff are put through but they pay staff for surveillance . Few years back they had a security guy at the door 7 feet tall , 200 lbs watching leaving customers like a hawk and checking receipts . Probably they decided against paying security guards after all because he is gone . There are cameras everywhere , custumers are not even aware . Isn’t that against the law if there are no postings about them ? Goodwill is the only retail where someone can be arrested for stealing a tshirt . Stealing is stealing no matter the amount but to threaten the custumers with arrest for a tshirt I think is a bit much . Used to be a good place to buy cheap things . Not anymore . The CEO needs his million dollar salary so of course a pack of 5 hangers is priced with $3.99 . I can find a set of 10 at Familly dolar for half the price . Goodwill is not a non profit organization anymore . It’s a ,, FOR PROFIT ONLY “ !! I stopped donating long time ago . I prefer to donate to Salvation Army or Veterans of America . They even come to collect the donations . Goodwill doesn’t . You donate sets of furnitures or whatever large items , is your business to deliver them . They just sells it for 100% profit . I witnessed once a homeless guy who asked a guy who just pulled over his car and unloading bags of clothes, if he can give him a shirt . Goodwill worker threatened him and said he will call the cops if he doesn’t leave . And the items were not goodwill’s yet . That was the moment I stopped donating . Wasn’t the worker’s fault . He just did what he is told to do . They advertise that the profits from selling the donated / FREE goods are used to create programs for people with disabilities or have troubles finding a job . Even in good times they were ,, helping “ by hiring 2,3 people temporary , few months the most . That is not really helping when people donate goods for millions . I will never buy anything from them . STOP DONATE TO GOODWILL . The profit doesn’t go to those in need , not even to pay a decent salary for the workers . The profit goes to the CEO . How else his salary would be over 1...
Read moreI just got in from a day of thrifting with Goodwill. This store is just an OK with me. To begin with, I think the people who shop here are quite lazy. There were carts left all over the parking lot - with no regard for handicap parking or carts left next to cars. Maybe GW should have the carts that you deposit 25Cents in for a cart to be used. The 25Cents is returned when you return to cart to the proper place. I found the paper goods section to be a real wreck! I just wanted to pull all the mess off the shelves and straighten it out for them! There were hardly ANY electronics. Everything seemed a bit of a mess overall. I know customers are the problem - either train them to be better customers or get more people to work on the floor to keep things neat. The valance/towels/pillow cases were jammed onto the rack. Didn't bother with that too much - too hard. The dresses on the outer walls - the racks are pretty high - I'm 5'2" and it was a struggle. I think the biggest problem with the rack is that the rods are not round and the hangers do not move well on them. I noticed a floor rack of dresses that had a round rod and those dresses were much easier to look through. Who wants to fight to shop???? Small amount of purses. Shoes display looked good. It was impossible to get help at the jewelry counter as the checker was busy with people checking out. Why don't they have a sign that points people over to the larger check out line? I just walked away after a while. I probably didn't need that jewelry any way. The people who work there seemed to be helpful. A woman named Natalie was able to help me with a few things. However, the communication gap is real when the people working there don't speak English and you ask them a question. Just saying. Overall - they are trying, I think. I would stop in if I were in the area, but wouldn't drive very far out of my way to get there. The quality of goods was so-so and a little expensive for being used, not so great, and donated. I understand that they have a mission - so they say. But have you ever looked up to see what...
Read moreThey have some good items, if you don’t mind searching but management is the worst. They have zero issue stealing from you. Just like one of these comment mention, they’ll keep the item and your money. I have bought a tv stand, before I purchased I told the cashier “I’m not sure if it will fit in my car, but I want to try. Since I can’t take it outside without paying , If it doesn’t fit will you take it back?” She said “YES!”. That is the absolute truth! I paid and went outside, with the help of one of the men, we struggled to fit it in my car for a good 30min. I never left the store. We were right in the front the whole time. When he rolled the tv back in, they refused to give me my money back. They assumed that I must know someone with a truck to come get it, well I don’t!.The manager, an Hispanic lady not helpful and rude, like how do you sleep at night knowing that you are a dishonest person? After a few minutes of back and forth, the cashier agreed that I should shop for my money worth. I started doing that, then the manger came back to say that I am not allowed to get any thing else for my money. She’s a thief! And shouldn’t be managing anything. At that point I got angry and left. They probably resold the stand and kept my money. Shame on you! How is that a Good will, taking people hard earned money with zero remorse. She isn’t deserving of this position, and doesn’t have the attitude or ethic for it. Just like they stole from this person in the review and they stole from me, they will steal from you too. Robbing people with no regrets and consequences. Nothing worse than a thief and a liar, I stopped giving them my business from that point toward. Another notes, everything there is overpriced from being used items. I stopped going there for all those reasons, You can find better deal shopping the clearance section for new items at a big...
