Decided to grab a late lunch while I had my rims fixed up at a nearby establishment. Walking in, I was greeted with a cozy atmosphere with Spanish music playing. I sat myself and waited for a server to bring out the menu. The menu had prices crossed off and was told they were reworking the menu. I also grabbed a little card with the specials, but apparently those specials were either not available or not being honored. I was given some chips and a different type of salsa that was light brown. The chips were crunchy and hot (great), the salsa didn't have much flavor, but was a good compliment with the chips. The chips weren't salty, and I think that's fantastic. I settled upon the Burrito Al Pastor and the flavors inside were awesome. It had guacamole, pico de gallo, and wonderfully marinated pork. It did come with a green sauce on the side, that was on the medium side, and it had good flavor. The price was around $8 and the food portion was a good size for the price. I would come back here if I was in the area.

My wife had the asada fries 7/10 I had the tacos de asada 5/10 Fish tacos 6/10 Shrimp 7/10 Chicharrón 4/10 The tortillas they use for the tacos are cheap and come apart easily and have a nasty flavor. If you have to use the restroom you have to ask for the keys which is unsanitary cause everyone touches them and it defeats the purpose of washing your hands. They also include a 18% gratatuity to your receipt with out posting it or notifying you. I have been to restaurants that do this but you know and are expecting it because of the high quality service they provide. This restaurant is not one of those. All in all I will not be coming back here and I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. I believe in tipping, but it should be optional and based on good service.

The BEST burritos in Orlando. Especially the Breakfast Burritos. All Day Breakfast and a Drive Thru really makes this place a hidden gem. Plus, customer service at the drive thru is always sweet, friendly, and helpful. The kind you would easily find in Los Angeles or Las Vegas, these Burritos are much harder to find in Orlando, and we're so happy we finally stumbled upon Mariachi Mexican Restaurant. There are other great burritos around town but we've been searching for exactly this ever since moving to Florida a few years ago. The rice and beans especially are exactly what our spoiled by California tastebuds have been craving. Looking forward to exploring more of the menu eventually, but for now we're stuck on Carne Asada and Breakfast burritos.

We used to come here for years. (since 2006) It was Beto's, then Toto's, and now Mariachi. They used to be outstanding. In the last year it has gotten worse. The meats have a lot of fat. The portions are smaller. They stopped doing free refills from the soda fountain. They bring chips and salsa to the table and charge you for them automatically, even if you never asked for them.

Tonight was our limit to where we're never returning. The service was horrible. The server, which speaks perfectly good English for we have talked before, pretended to not know English. She was really rude. We got our food and didn't see her again until I walked to the counter asking to pay. She gave me my receipt which showed the meal prices individually. I was shocked to see the charges for an extra drink (due to refill she automatically brought) and for the chips. I gave her my card and commented that I didn't expect the extra charges. For 1 quesadilla and 1 burrito the bill was over $40! I got the receipt to sign and saw an extra charge for the tip. It was an automatic 18%! I didn't even get to select the tip amount for she didn't deserve 18%. She chose it and you can't correct it for your card was charged for the bill closing.

I ask about the tip and she again, pretends to no know English. I told her this was my last straw with them for I don't apreciate the overcharges. I said I'll never go back and she replied "I don't care" then walked into the back. I get home to learn I am charged an additional $10 for "Addl tip" on my card. I took a picture of the receipt when I signed since I was upset of her comment of not speaking English and it totals $48.31. My card is charged $58.31. Now I have to put in a fraud charge to my bank for the amount I am charged! WTH!

Sad how this place has gone straight down hill in just under 1 year. They really changed when they put the wall up in the kitchen. Probably new...

Edit: 11/25/2024 They totally improved! They are back!!! Portion size is great! They have really stepped up and raised their standards! So happy!

Edit: 3/01/2024 This used to be a great, inexpensive, and quality restaurant when it was called Toños. Now, it has seriously gone downhill in quality, speed of service, and options. They used to serve the steak ranchero plate with perfectly cook steak, caramelized onions, fried eggs, and flour tortillas. Now, it is poorly cooked steak in tomato sauce, no eggs, no onions. They used to give inexpensive extras like cheese and sour cream, now they overcharge for everything. They only gave me two salsas for 30$ worth of food!! It's not the same as it was. See my review below to get a sense of how much I used to love this place. I hope the owners can bring it back to the level it was as Toños.

This is the best cheap Mexican restaurant in Orlando! Consistent, delicious, cosmically addictive San Diego style drive through grub. I recommend the Texano burrito, the steak ranchero plate, the California burrito, the fish tacos, chicken enchiladas, and bean cheese and rice burrito! Ask for extra red sauce as it is incredible salsa de arbol! It's not fast food, so be patient with the staff. They are friendly if you are friendly and treat them with respect. Tonos is a destination worthy restaurant and you should...

First time I went to this place with my bf and the customer service it was awful. The cashier was very unprofessional responding with attitude. Also, she didn't know how much was 8+8= 16. I had to count with my fingers and explain to her more than 3 times my change back and in both languages English and Spanish. She made me felt I was trying to steal her money rejecting to give me my change back saying I was wrong more than 3 times. After all that, She said: "Oh yeah, I think you are right", and gave me the change back showing insecurity. While we were eating It was uncomfortable because the two ladies at the front and the cook were staring at us all the time. After that we went back to the car and five minutes later the cook knocked the window of my car saying: "You have to leave right now", with a haughty attitude, then he proceed saying: "I've been watching the cameras and I want you out of here". Me and my bf looked at each other trying to understand what was going on, we were just setting the GPS to get back home. Not enough with that, the cook kept staring at us until we left, then he turned on his car following us in the back". It was a really weird and scary situation. We never understood why the attitude of these people. It so bad, that a restaurant like this...
