The Arcade 80s — Attraction in Winter Haven

I usually don’t give out reviews for any places, especially if it’s a place I’ve only been in less than 3 times, let alone just 1 time. This may very well be my first exception.

I wasn’t sure what to think of it once I walked in. Based on the name of the place, I thought I was going to get a small but full scale authentic recreation of a 80s-90s arcade, so I was a little let down on that part, but everything else made up for that one nitpick of mine.

The experience genuinely was fun. The cashiers had a friendly and approachable vibe, the customers they attracted all seemed like people I’d likely get acquainted under different circumstances. Overall a generally fun and domestic vibe.

My biggest plus is the inclusion of both vintage and newer, more recent items. I was able to snag a copy of a DS game I played as a kid while also getting an anime figure of a character from a recently global game that under any other circumstances would have been 3x the price that I bought it with. It’s definitely good with prices. The things that are above 70+ dollars are usually ones you’d expect to be in that range(vintage consoles & games), and even then, they’re surprisingly cheaper than what I feel the average seller would price them as.

Overall, very homelike feel, I felt like I truly was in a time capsule of my element, and given the chance, I definitely would visit more often.

Cheers to the people who own and manage that place. I’m really hoping that the modern day economy and competition don’t take out hidden...

I recently visited Arcade 80 and had the pleasure of being assisted by a gentleman named Christian. My son and I were having issues with his PS5, and after a frustrating experience at a Walmart repair shop called Fix It, where they fixed one issue but created another, we were in need of some real help.

From the moment we arrived, Christian was incredibly helpful. He took the time to examine the console and immediately identified the problems caused by the previous repair. He opened it up right in front of us and pointed out the missing screws and the disconnections in the disc drive.

What impressed me the most was Christian's professionalism and his willingness to explain everything in detail. He made sure we understood what had gone wrong and how he planned to fix it. His friendly demeanor made the experience much more enjoyable, and I felt confident that our PS5 was in good hands.

Just visited this amazingly decorated and themed store! As an avid game collector and my husband being a Funko collector we could find something for both of us! I have to say that it's an absolute blast to the past shell shocking experience with the retro aesthetic from the music, to the tiled floors, and to the painted walls! Their prices are also really fair especially for what they have and the condition they are in! The customer service and employees there were also really helpful and very polite! Im not sure exactly who I was at the store that day but we chatted for a bit, he helped us with the products we are interested in, and was very humble! I am for sure coming back here!
