The red bowl in Sandhills just called the police on me because I ordered their buy one get one free sushi and a drink. I let my 7 year old eat some of my sushi. After our meal was over and I asked for the check they tried to charge me for a drink for my daughter in the amount of $2. I explained to them that I ordered a drink as their policy stated and my child already had a bottle of water from home(she was not thirsty). They said I would have to pay for the second drink or they were going to call the police on me. At which point my daughter became overwhelmed with fear and started crying and asking who would be able to take her to her daddy(she thought I was going to jail). I explained to them that I already ordered a drink from the bar that actually totaled more than two drinks but they insisted that I buy another drink or the police would be called. I refuse to let my child be scared of the police being called so I calmed her down and told her not to worry that everything will be fine. In the meantime the ownerâs wife began screaming at me and acting like her husband was holding her back from charging at me. My child got even more scared. I showed them their website and the policy written but they still insisted. Then they said the policy was written on the door, when I asked for them to show me bc I didnât see it they couldnât(bc it wasnât there). So I told them I would not pay for the drink. They called the POLICE yâall. We waited for Richland County Sheriff's Department to arrive. Deputies came and tried to calm my visibly shaken child so that she wouldnât fear them. I appreciate them for doing that. All over paying for a $2 drink we didnât order or consume. I still refused to pay the $2 so one of the officers paid it against my request. But bottom line donât eat at Redbowl Asian bistro in Sandhillsđ¤ˇđžââď¸ they will try to make you pay for things that you didnât order, lie about their policies, and traumatize your...

This mall/shopping plaza is on its last legs. More stores have left. Now condemned buildings and no draw.
Get new owners Get stores that draw customers and maybe it can be saved.
Dying
Management and ownership of this location have changed numerous times over the years, consistently raising prices on the property and forcing a lot of the smaller companies to leave.
They built a lot of apartments on site which made parking and traffic patterns a little bit more difficult.
Very few stores of high demand, the sporting goods store is one of the bigger draws, and the movie theater is excellent but the majority of the stores are your typical Mall stores, jewelry stores Etc
Too many empty storefronts, and there's nothing there that you really can't find somewhere else.
Traffic is heavy just to get there unless you don't mind taking back roads.
As blah as it is, it may have just what you're looking for, you may want to work out they have a gym.
You may want to see a movie they have a movie theater, you may want something to eat there are a few good restaurants, no parking but good restaurants. You looking for a shirt they have typical stores we can buy a shirt. It's just not flashy or has any big names it pulls you in.
Get there at the right time of the day and avoid the traffic.
Best thing that could happen to this location is they get new ownership with realistic profit margin goals, they reduce their rent get some more smaller stores and fill all those...
Read moreIâm not saying any of this for no reason - I just want potential visitors to know the truth so they donât waste their time. I honestly donât understand how this place got anything above a 2 rating on here. Iâm beginning to think that the âlocal guidesâ are being paid to give such good ratings because what theyâre claiming is simply not true. This outdoor shopping centre has become very dried out over the past few years and has officially hit rock bottom now. The only reason people go over there is to maybe visit the movie theater (mainly young kids) or get something to eat from one of the very few restaurant options. Most of the shops have closed down and there are only a select few that are still open. Even the few shops that are still there arenât worth visiting. This place needs some major updating. They say itâs âcleanâ but thatâs because no one goes there anymore and thereâs nothing there to see or do. How can it be dirty if thereâs no one there to make a mess in the first place? Thereâs nothing going on at Sandhill anymore. I use to love it back when it was a popular place to shop and STORES were actually OPEN. Itâs kind of amusing to watch the security ride around as if theyâre needed - thereâs nothing to protect... no one is there. They should put their hard work ethic into a job where they actually do something. And thatâs for anyone that decides to work at Sandhill. The place needs so much improvement, itâs a sad sight! Would...
