A place for a 2025 jump-start into fitness!
Wanting to find a gym in the NE, I was curious about the facility at SandHills and wondered what they had to offer.
When I walked in, the front desk team was PRESENT, ATTENTIVE, and VERY WELCOMING! They greeted me kindly and asked how they could help. I stated I was there “just looking to see” and immediately the GM had a young man named Brandon R. give me an awesome tour of the facility. He was so excited and committed to his work and the CHANGES WITH THE NEW COMPANY, that it was contagious! At the end he gave me two free passes to come and experience the facility. I used them in the span of 5 days and signed up.
I was impressed! He mentioned they are going through a big change and huge investment from the new company and the remodelation and upgrades throughout the facility were quite visible - with new equipment, added classes, a pumped team, and even the upgrading of racket courts within the facility.
It’s a very complete gym. I was surprised to see they have traditional weights, a pool, spinning class, lots of new resistance training machines, a huge line of cardio equipment, a dark room for movies while doing cardio (that was cool!) and several rooms for barre/zumba and group fitness. They also have a special functional area that could compete with any CF Box! I especially appreciate the tables and chairs at the entrance of the center to sit and chat with a new gym pal or take care of emails/calls before/after a workout.
The crowd is diverse! And I like that! Different ages and all kinds of fitness levels and interests (group class, spinning, functional, straight-cardio, “leave-me-alone spaces”, heavy weights in the back and all in between). Folks seem kind and focused on their work and the community of members appears to be friendly.
I have seen rush hour at the center in the evenings and that is to be expected everywhere, but the facility is so big that there is ample room for one to come in and get a focused-workout in and be on your way.
The OneLife FItness Center team at Sandhills is kind and welcoming. Brandon was an impressive professional, walking me through every single aspect of the facility and answering all of my questions. The front desk team is always present and engaging with folks as they come in and out. And the instructors are NICE PEOPLE! They are MOTIVATING AND ENCOURAGING in a seamless way which allows you to focus on enjoying the workout and that builds the consistency that gets results over time.
Since coming, the GM has checked in and always made time to see how I am doing in my fitness journey. THAT IS MOTIVATING because you feel like you’re not just a member, but a part of a family.
The facility and the instructors are a GREAT foundation for your goals. The rest is up to you!
For the low cost, this is a HUGE value and a great place to be - to not only work on your physical health, but also emotional and mental health by BUILDING COMMUNITY WITHIN. Here one can make a friend easily; and we’re all on that path.
I strongly recommend OneLIfe FItness, but also recommend the awareness that each and every one of us creates the experience we live in.
I’m looking forward to reaching my fitness/wellness goals here and being a positive contributing part of the...
Read moreI was sure surprised when I returned to MUV today after an absence due to injury and surgery. I stopped at the front to see if the management had changed but I guess it hasn’t. The spa and the shower in the pool area were broken. From the pool I could see 3 machines that were broken and several more as I walked through. The bath room and locker room were dirty. And then there was the fence that looked like it belongs on a construction site. I asked about using the equipment in that area and was told it cost extra for the class. When did that happen? I pointed out I wanted to use the ropes. The person answering my questions showed me there was one in a basket. I asked how that was used and she said “you just wrap it around something and kind of use it that way”. Really. I asked about the green carpet. Her response people kind of work out on that with the weights and stuff. I wanted to know if I was interested in using some of the new equipment could I ask someone to help me. I was told if you have 2 or 3 questions probably someone could answer them. Guess I need to pre plan those questions. She told me the equipment was broken because people don’t know how to use it. I guess they didn’t know about the 2 or 3 question rule. I have been a member at gym for 5 years. I wanted the pool for rehab. I thinking it isn’t worth the membership for the pool. When it breaks they will slap a sign on it and then nothing in that area will work. What happened to this place?
5/30/2019 Even though I have made 5 attempts to contact the main office as requested. I finally spoke with a person and was told to leave a message with another person. I have received no contact from the main office. None. Whatever is going on with MUV apparently will not be fixed. As long as they collect their money the condition of the facility apparently...
Read moreWhen I signed up originally it was with golds gym. Not months after they switched to muvv. I was mad because no one told me this switch was happening but I let it go because the people in the gym were the same people that signed me up and the equipment was the same so who cares and I am not one to normally complain. So then I signed up for their fitness challenge. They don't tel you that you might want to ask the strengths and weaknesses of your trainer. So they randomly signed me up with a trainer that only had a couple hours available a week. So once again I felt like the people who work here just happily take your money without actually preparing you for what's coming next. Which I feel like that is your job if you are selling me on why this gym works or why this nonrefundable challenge is so great because you will have all these training sessions. I had one. That's it for the whole month. So I was cut short 7 because I couldn't get an appointment with me trainer other then at 5am or 7pm. I work late nights so both of those were impossible. So then I moved over 50 miles away. Went in to cancel my contract and nope they can take your money and promise you all these things but they can't cancel your account. So you have Togo through they're financial support abc financial. They are just as sneaky as the people in that building. Let's just say I moved in August and I will still be charged in November because I keep being bounced around from supervisor to supervisor. Tried to contact corporate after all of this went down. I left a voicemail and she has yet to contact me. I wouldn't even give this place a one star if I had a choice. So save your time and money and find a...
