PEOPLE BEWARE!

I held a PRIVATE party there in April 2022 and the management is extremely difficult to deal with and attempts to extort additional money at every opportunity. This is a large venue with legal capacity in excess of 600 people, yet Glendalis Romero attempted to charge an additional $750 fee if my guest count exceeded 100 people. I.E. if there were 101 guests, it triggered the additional $750 charge. In addition, she charged a $350 “caterer fee” if we did not use one of their approved caterers. However, if I used one of their “approved caterers,” they would charge the caterer a 10% fee. I.E. if the caterer’s invoiced totaled $4000, the approved caterer would have to pay D’Space an additional $400! Now the bartending fee. Their website states that the bartender fee, which is an EXTERNAL contractor, is $200. However, this is misleading as they add a $75 gratuity - which is equal to 37.5% - much higher than the standard/expected 20-22%. Honestly, the gratuity is NOT the issue. Here’s where it gets interesting. D’Space then charges an additional EIGHTEEN (18%) “service charge” payable to D’Space. D’Space charges a “service charge” on a “service” that they are NOT providing.

Moreover, the night of my party, Glendalis and her staff recorded several videos using the 360 Photobooth that I contracted for my private party. I became aware of this once I received the videos from the vendor after the party. This type of unprofessional behavior continued the night of the party, they were extremely rude and unprofessional when interacting with my party planner and her staff. They inexplicably made the night more stressful with unreasonable demands and prude behavior.

Further, I have just been made aware that Glendalis and her staff recorded several videos and took pictures of my private party that they are using for promotion on their social media. When I asked D’Space to remove the post, they responded by deleting my comments and blocking both me and my event planner. I sent an email asking them respectfully to remove the footage to which they have not responded as of this review.

If you don't want to get married in a barn, this is it!

During our venue search, we were determined to find something that fit our more modern tastes. We looked at a few other options in the area that were also beautiful but we would have needed to severely compromise our wedding vision. D'Space is super close to the airport and its surrounding hotels, so it made travel for our out-of-town guests as easy as possible. We even rented a bus to shuttle guests back and forth to the hotels and had our Rehearsal Dinner at Brewlando next door.

When booking our wedding day, we chose to go with the all-inclusive package. D'Space also offers a ton of customizable options depending on your budget and needs.

We ended up choosing Table Top Catering, Traditions Mobile Bar, Jason Good Media Group, CRB Entertainment, Cake and Bake, and Flowers By Angie. We were happy with all of our choices. All of our vendors were great the day of the wedding. The staff were super helpful and even helped us set up the decor we chose to DIY.

Overall we were really happy with our decisions. The only negatives we had were the limited times we could get into the venue to do tours (We live an hour away so weekday appointments were a bigger commitment for us), and to set up prior to the wedding. Time constraints really limit any DIY decor or setup.

On a last note, we got married 2 days after Hurricane Milton came through Orlando. They didn't have any power issues! We had chosen to extend their event coordinator option to the full planning package and it was 100% worth it. We were sitting on pins and needles that Friday and our ladies in pink took care of...

My husband and I originally scheduled our wedding at a different venue. The week of the wedding, Hurracaine Milton made its way to Florida and left our original venue without power. On the wedding day, we still had no venue. We only had a few hours to decide whether to cancel our special day or find another place.

The morning of the wedding, I contacted Glendalis from D'Space Orlando. She quickly turned our worst nightmare into the most amazing day. She communicated quickly, sent us a contract, and even helped us arrange all the details needed so that we could have our special day. ALL WITHIN HOURS OF THE EVENT! The venue exceeded all of our expectations and it was even better than the original one. The accommodations, space, technology, and staff are EXCEPTIONAL.
