Let's start with this is not my first BAD shopping experience at this location. Hwy. 138 in Conyers GA but is my last!
1.)If the dressing room's are never going to be available to their shoppers at least have the decency to put signs on the dressing rooms. They offer returns but only in gift card form. I will givecthem credit for figuring out a way to keep people's money, the merchandise and getting those funds then respent back at their location, hopefully but it won't be by me. 2.) Just because it's evening and your employee's are ready to clock out is no excuse for ommiting discounts offered by Goodwill Industries for POLICE or Military on their offered discounts of 25%. Therefore meaning when it's Thursday and you are at the checkout and dressed in FULL police uniform then the cashier should ASK for proper I.D. versus trying to hurry us out the door. 3.) The management at this store has ALWAYS come off with an negative attitude towards the customers but especially with the employees. Unprofessionally yelling out the swinging doors to an employee across the floor because he can. 4.) I understand we all have bad days but it seems to be a bad day, any day I am at this location. 5.) I decided to return most of my purchase and the manager Tanesha was called by the cashier. Tanesha was actually standing there the entire time from my entrance into the store (as I possessed a Goodwill bag and a receipt in my hand) through the long wait as one cashier was the only one working at the registers, until she called for another cashier and then proceeded to wait until that cashier called for her to approve my return. 6.) I asked this so called manager, Tanesha "Aren't Thursday's police discount days?" and she nodded yes; nodded! No eye contact, never uttered a single word. I explained to her that her employee's failed to ask if he would like the 25% discount offered and guess what Tanesha did? She walked off! She didn't offer her apologies, or even make a statement that she would make sure to speak with the employees to be sure and ask. And forget about the most obvious action she should have taken, and that was to offer the 25% on the remaining items we had chosen to keep. Go Management Team! Needless to say this won't be my only complaint because of the ongoing history of bad attitude by employees at this location; NEGATIVE WORD OF MOUTH will hurt their sales eventually I hope. As far as the emoloyees attitudes it may just be their days are bad at Goodwill due to working under BAD ATTITUDE MANAGEMENT! It has been expressed to me by my friends and family that the Goodwill Industry who are GIVEN these items by good hearted people have continued to overcharge the consumers for way too long. Along with myself, we have all chosen to shop other thrift stores of guinenly appreciative attitudes. This is to include where our donations are going as well. By the way the cashier's names are on the receipts but considering the poor management of this location, I will give her a break. No sense in putting her job at jeopardy when the reason...

TL;DR - SHOP AND DONATE AT THE LOCAL VALUE VILLAGE (next to Walmart in Conyers by the Home Depot). Way better prices and system. Proceeds also go to a Kidney Foundation. This location (good will) thinks that they are a boutique now, so everything is expensive for being a "thrift" store and new employees are rude (I witnessed it happen to another customer, an elderly gentleman, who wanted to view some items). Go shop at any other Good Will or Value Village (even other mom and pop thrift stores). Not this one. Heck, shop on Facebook Marketplace even.
I use to enjoy coming here to shop for items for my home. I thought it was one of THE best Goodwills nearby. I changed my mind on that when I told my cousins what a great place this was and that we could find many great items at a clean and organized store - for an amazing deal. Boy was I wrong. It use to be a thrift store, now it's trying to operate at Boutique prices. Haha, I'm sorry, but change your name and don't claim to be Goodwill anymore. Go by "Conyers Pricey Boutique" or something.
You charge WAY too much for used furniture at a thrift shop and WAY more for dishware that you deem valuable and have no knowledge of just because "it's a set". Did this place go under new management? If so, that is highly regretful. The former guy who was there was a lot cooler and the way he ran things, everyone was happy. Employees seemed happy. Last I went (a few days ago), they seemed strung out.
Also, it is your responsibility as an employee to price things before putting them on the sales floor. If I pick up items that aren't priced because you forgot, and I'm interested in buying, don't tell me that it will take 24 hrs at least before it will be back out. Just price it so I can pay for it, already went through the trouble of putting it on sales floor. Go to any other Good Will instead. This place...
Read more⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ update After speaking with Mr. Grover at corporate, I felt heard respected and honored and in turn gave him the same respect.
He made sure to return my call after calling the store asking they honor my veteran status and if they could retrieve my items put back.
He professionally explained that the savings program had not yet been implemented mistakenly told to me. We both showed gratitude toward how it was rectified.
Mr. Grover was a man of faith and Goodwill who was very kind and an asset to this company.
————————-Old .Review——————- Thursday is & has been veterans day discount. As a veteran i came in to purchase a few items. Get to the register and was told the ONLY way to now obtain the discount is to sign up for their new program. Number one, we signed up to serve I shouldn't have to sign up to save at the Goodwill where I also freely donate my items. Its frustrating to no end that in order to shop for used items they are trying to do what stores that serve unused items for. It makes no sense. Not every store requires a sign up for savings just do what you've done it wasn't broke...
