PREJUDICE against the HANDICAPPED and RACIST! Not to mention RAN DOWN, OLD, AND UNSAFE. My husband and I travel from the East Coast to St. Louis 5 or 6 times a year, the Atlanta area is a good holdover for us. Heading back from STL, we booked a room around 10 pm online through the choice website. After 9 hours of driving and barely staying awake, we arrived a little before 1 am so ready for bed. Since the hotel isn't in a good area, the hotel has a night window to check in and the lobby stays locked so the desk clerk stays safe. The clerk asks if I am checking in and my name and for my ID. I gave the guy my name, my ID, my credit card, and my husband service dog's ID. He went to the computer and began checking us in... Until he got to the service animal ID card when he immediately stopped. He collected all my cards and turned back to me. He says "We dont have running water so I can't check you in." I'm sorry what? Your hotel parking lot is full, all the lights are on, rooms were available online, and you dont have running water? He tells me to book somewhere else, he can't control online availability and leave, mind you, its 1am and we had been on the road since 10 am. Not to mention my husband, like I said, is physically handicapped and I have a pacemaker and a handicapped placard as well. Now, after midnight, you can't book rooms online, its switched over to the next days reservations. He tells me to call someone else, there's other hotels as he picks his afro and slyly smiles. My husband now gets out of the truck to see what's going on. He wants a receipt, the clerk says he can't give us one. Now I'm looking at this guy obviously lying to me because he is discriminating against our handicaps and canine, just knowing my card is going to be charged because he cancelled us at 1 am and late cancellations cost. I'm not leaving here until I have proof of your discrimination. Begrudgingly the man went to the computer and spent 15 minutes typing 2 sentences that said I'm sorry your reservation was cancelled. Nothing about why, because then he'd have to admit he's racist. I'm sure this will be a mess for my bank account and end up costing my hundreds. Quality Inn as a company will do nothing because they dont control the hotel, just rent them the Quality name. Mr. Patel and his Quality Inn in Conyers can look forward to a report being filed with the ADA. Read moreI have to update my review. I've been staying at this hotel for over ten years on various business trips. When I first started coming everything was great the breakfast was great. The breakfast was not elaborate, but it did have eggs and sausage and toast and biscuits and gravy. Several updates were made to the location both inside and out. Since the pandemic this place has gone downhill superfast. The rooms are nowhere near as nice as they used to be. I find the rooms I get fairly often the remote do not work. The air conditioners do not cool worth a flip in the summer. They are so d* cheap in running this place. And in the summer they will cut the air conditioner off quite often. Do they not realize that when that entire room Heats up that? When you cut the air conditioner on, it has to work that much harder to cool it down. Or else if they had left it on even raising it up in the temperature, it will not use as much power. One of the updates they did was remove all the carpet and put in tile floors. On one visit I made the mistake of walking around in my white socks And it was obvious that they do not clean the floors thoroughly. Their sign out front, says hot breakfast. Yeah right the only thing hot they have is you can make a waffle or toast. The coffee is absolutely a joke but it used to be good. I have no idea what that orange juice they serve is supposed to be. My last stay there a couple of weeks ago was my final. I'm gonna miss Miss Brenda. She has been there ever since I started staying at the hotel. She is a great lady and is always friendly, efficient and taken care of any request. I had started staying at the La Quinta behind them about 3 years ago. But that is a no go for me too for much of the same reasons. It appears there's a new holiday inn express being built across the road. Once it opens, I'm going to check it out. I'm going to point blank, ask the manager. Do they intend to let it go to hell like the other hotels...
Read moreSo me n my kids checked in for a week stay paying close to 400.00 for 5 nights once we unloaded our clothes and started to settle in we noticed dead roaches in the refrigerator at that time we noticed the refrigerator wasnt working after the kids took there shower and i went in the bathroom i killed like six more roaches two tryed to climb in the shower with me. I called the front desk and told them of the disgust and he rudely ask what was he suppose to do about it i told him we wanted a cleaner room. When i went downstairs my kids were in the bed in there night clothes. The gentleman at the night window never apologize he assigned us the room right next door now understand he took the first room key deactivated it gave me the room key to the new room i told him i was going to check the room out before we moved our stuff i proceeded back upstairs to check the room understand this whole process we are at like 3am i go inside the next room before i can walk thru a knock on the door as im walking out the door i see my old room door open n my girls n the bed with the cover pulled up and frightened faces the front desk guy like o someone in your room im like i know i told u on the phone me n my kids. I asked for ten minutes so we could move our things he proceeded to stand in the door even after i told him we did not feel comfortable with him standing over me n my girls at 3 something in the morning and he's not help n us move the most he did was stood between the two room doors after my girls moved to the next room i invited him in and showed him where the dead bugs i killed on the floor, by the refrigerator, in the bathroom i showed him where they were on the ceiling he took pictures and said he would tell...
