I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the service and facilities at your hotel. My mother and I stayed at your hotel from December 8 to December 9, 2023, and we had a terrible experience that caused us physical and emotional distress.||||First of all, the room we booked, Room 214, was completely nasty and unclean. Everything was broken, from the TV to the faucet. The sheets were stained, the carpet was dirty, and the bathroom was moldy. We have attached some photos of the room as evidence of the poor condition.||||Secondly, on December 8, 2023, my mother and I got stuck on the elevator for over an hour. No one from the hotel staff came to help us, even though we pressed the emergency button and called the front desk. We had to call the police to get some help off of the elevator. The police arrived at 11:15 a.m. and managed to open the elevator door. We have attached a copy of the police report as evidence of the incident.||||Both the room and the elevator situation were unacceptable and unacceptable. They caused us a lot of inconvenience, discomfort, and anxiety. My mother suffers from claustrophobia and asthma, and she had a panic attack and difficulty breathing in the elevator. We had to go to the hospital after we got out of the elevator. We have attached a copy of the medical bill as evidence of the harm we suffered.||||When we complained to the front desk, they only offered to reimburse the room charge, which we accepted. However, this is not enough to compensate for the terrible experience we had at your hotel. We demand a full refund of the entire amount we paid for our stay, including taxes and fees. We also demand a written apology from you and the staff involved. We also request a voucher for a free two-night stay at any of your hotels, valid for one year. We expect you to meet these demands within 14 days of receiving this letter, or we will take further action.||||We hope that you will take this matter seriously and resolve it as soon as possible. Please contact us at 803-476-6407 or WilliamsAngel86@hotmail.com to confirm that you have received this letter and to inform us of the steps you are taking to address...
Read moreAbsolutely disgusting hotel. I don't even feel like going on a tirade here, I'll just list problems I had for you:
-The first room they tried to put me in (along with my girlfriend and daughter) was about the size of a tomb and smelled like the green room at a Snoop Dog concert.
-The room they replaced it with was large enough, and didn't smell like weed, but some of the rooms nearby must have been doing some smoking of their own because it wafted into our room every half hour or so. This seems weird for a hotel with a "100% No Smoking Policy."
-The bathroom door was broken, it couldn't be opened from the outside without a screw driver. Thank goodness I always have a screw driver handy.
-I got a call, at midnight while fast asleep, from the girl at the front desk telling me that she needed me to sign something. However, she did not have whatever it was that she needed me to sign. She may have been high too. The following morning, when checking out, the manager didn't need me to sign or even do anything.
-At one point, another guest and her very angry other half, were in a pretty heated argument with the desk clerk because they believed that some pretty expensive things were stolen from their room, by the staff, while they were out during the day. We didn't leave our room at all, because of this, until check out.
-The elevator almost crushed my girlfriend's arm. Apparently that safety thing that prevents them from closing if there's something in the way, does not exist for them. If I hadn't muscled the door back open, it actually would have crushed her.
-Speaking of elevators, half the call buttons are smashed. Why? Who did that, across multiple floors, and why hasn't it been fixed?
-Stained bath towels
-No HBO
-It's just a really lousy hotel. I'll probably never use a Microtel again because if this.
Quick note: I'm aware that it was a Microtel and not the Plaza. The room was only seventy bucks and all I really needed was a bed to crash on after a twelve hour drive. These people don't seem like they're even trying to stay...
Read moreI have never went out of my way to write a negative review . But this time it felt necessary!! This is without a single doubt the worst hotel experience I've ever had. We had a reservation 2 weeks in advance and the woman at the front desk told us they had "no more rooms left' . Two other customers came in and had the same problem as us. They paid a reservation in advance as well and the woman at the front desk told them the same thing that there was no more rooms left. We had just drove 6-7 hours and it was 3:30 am and we were really tired. But she refused to give us our money back and help give any resourceful info for a number to call for who to contact . She was without a doubt the rudest employee I've ever met in my life. She wouldn't give us her name . My friend got a picture of her since she would not give up name and afterwards when we tried to leave the woman employee followed us to our car and practically threatened her to delete the picture. And she wasn't leaving till she did. We finally ended up leaving and we had to sleep in our car because there was no other hotels with rooms available. So overall us and the other customers that went through the same scenario (at the same time) was beyond frustrated. We eventually found the customer service number and called them the next morning (today) to get our money back . They said they would call back and have yet to try to reach back out to us for a refund. Overall saying it was a terrible experience for all of us that night is an understatement. I would give this place negative ten stars...
