First, it might be helpful to know that I am in the top 10% of star earners for 2023, so trust me when I tell you “go to the Starbucks on Salem road instead of this one.”
This Starbucks consistently gets my order incorrect, the wait time is just absurd, and the customer service is… nonexistent. In fact, just today after one of the baristas handed me my drinks, I asked if I could have a couple of straws, please. They did not reply. It was as if I was talking to the air. I was embarrassed. Still, when they came back I asked again, “May I have a couple of straws, please.” The barista finally replied, “I heard you,” in a very rude tone. When they handed me the straws, I said “Thank you. I hope your day gets better.” Upon hearing me say that, another customer said “I know, right.” Sadly, this type of customer service happens nearly every time I visit this location, and I notice that other customers are also affected.
It pains me to report this because there are a couple of baristas, and I do mean two, who are very friendly and customer satisfaction oriented. I have even seen the shift manager at this location use a rude tone with a customer who had been waiting on their drink for over 20 mins. Perhaps we could forgive the incorrect drink orders if it weren’t for the poor attitude we receive when we ask for our drinks to be remade or updates on our order status.
That brings me to the other issue with this location: the wait time. I’m not sure what the issue is, but I have lived in Conyers for 3 years and have never once visited this location without an excessively long wait time. No matter how many baristas are on staff or how few people are ordering, there’s always an issue. However, once I waited nearly 40 mins for an iced coffee with a splash of almond milk (my usual). I ordered it online but it was not ready when I arrived. When I asked about it, the barista was rude, naturally, hahaha, but I understood that they were short staffed, so I decided to wait. Unfortunately, however, I ended up cancelling my order.
So, take aways, only go to this location if you have at least 20 mins+ of free time (who does?), you don’t mind your coffee with a little attitude—LOL—and likely incorrectly made. I will leave off with a couple of positive and that is the convenience of this location due to its proximity to 20W. Also, they have a nice selection of merchandise.
To the two baristas at this location who are just killing it, thank you! Y’all are awesome. You know...
Read moreI'm not sure where to begin in rating "MY" Starbucks! I have been a Barista with Starbucks for over 11 years. I began my career in California, and have been at the Conyers, GA location for 10 years. In response to some of the comments from customers, "I feel ya!". I was a customer of Starbucks before I worked there and have continued to be a customer through the years. I have very HIGH expectations when I go to ANY Starbucks and I have been to many in and out of the United States. I absolutely LOVE Starbucks! I can only speak for myself, but I do my best everyday. My goal everyday is to make memorable experiences for my customers. So, if I have failed in that regard, I am sorry. I am usually in Drive Thru and my goal is to get you in and out of there as quickly as possible. I truly believe that is the goal of every partner here at Starbucks. Does it get crazy sometimes...yes, but we still do our best with what we have (manpower). As a customer, if something isn't right (your drink, your wait time, your food, your experience with a barista, etc.), please let us know...we promise to make it right. One of our Core Values here at Starbucks is, "Delivering our very best in all we do, holding ourselves accountable for results." We are held to that standard by our Manager.
As far as our manager, Kelley Smith, I have worked for her for over 10 years. She is the most fair and even tempered person I know. She is caring, passionate about her people AND Starbucks, AND our customers. She has ALWAYS instilled in us to make the moment right for EVERY customer. She has NEVER wavered from that. She holds us accountable every.single.day. to do our very best. She has our back, and she certainly has the customer's back. I absolutely LOVE her and her commitment to Starbucks, our store, our partners, and most importantly our customers! She takes complaints (both internal with partners, and external, with customers) very seriously. We are very lucky to have her!
So, if you haven't come by our store, please do! If you have and have not been happy, we apologize and hope you give us a second chance! If you have and have been a satisfied customer...thank you and I'm glad we made your visit...
Read morefor me to finally leave this review, i have honestly had ENOUGH of this location. I stopped going here YEARS ago because they never would have certain items plus some days its open, they change the hours, are doing construction etc. it's always SOMETHING going on with this location plus the fact that they are always out of SOMETHING. I started going to the Salem Rd. location and never went back, until today. I said its 3pm and how can this Starbucks POSSIBLY piss me off today , and after years of not going they found a way. I turn into their lot and it looks like their is only one person in line. To me that was a good sign. I get to the drive thru, theirs one person infront of me ordering, so a total of two cars in line. I begin to place my order, and some guy with a cartoonish and exagerrated voice takes my order, no problem showing your personality at work. Then i pull around to the window and sit behind the car in front of me. A few minutes later i realize that the employee is handing the card machine to the patron multiple times. He takes the card machine back, i sit and wait for their order to be given, this happens about three times and the order is never given to the car. in fact it seems like they are deep conversation instead of moving on. Sidenote, as i sit there, a man is in the parking lot, where another car pulls up, the man walks up to the car opens up their back door and say "YOU ALMOST HIT ME MOTHERF*. Then these three men, go back and forth, yelling and screaming at each other, and i just knew someone was going to pull out a weapon. I was honestly sort of scared. All the while, the starbucks employee is still talking to the car in front of me, and now he is recording the altercation on his phone. This takes about 5 minutes and once it is over, i wait about 5 minutes more. At this point i have sat behind this one car for almost 15 minutes at the starbucks window. Finally i drive off. Head to Salem and I order and receive my food within 2 minutes. I Will never ever go to this...
